Staying as a Group?
We also manage several other waterfront units in this quiet block, including The Beach Hut, The Boat Shed, and Studio 5. One Tree Point is a relaxed coastal community on the shores of Whangārei Harbour, perfect for a low-key getaway. It’s mostly quiet year-round and has a great holiday vibe during the summer, offering a mix of peaceful seaside living and easy access to local spots.
The area is great for walking and biking, and you’re just a short stroll from the Marsden Cove Marina, where you’ll find several options for dining, including breakfast, coffee, and dinner by the water. For beach time, swim at high tide just out front, or drive 10 minutes to the surf at Ruak ākā Beach.
Boat ramps at One Tree Point and the Marsden Cove Marina are just minutes away, and you’ll find groceries, takeaways and fuel close by at the Four Square or Ruakākā Shopping Centre.
Historic Waipū village is also an easy drive, with its museum, cafés and boutique shops, and on the way is the Waipū Golf Course, a scenic public course right on the waterfront at Bream Bay.
These waterfront units are part of what was once the Harbour Lights campground - now a laid-back group of holiday apartments. The views across the harbour to Mount Manaia and the port are always changing. Whether you`re here to explore, unwind, or stay for work, it’s an easy place to settle in.
There is no public transport in the area - you`ll need your own car. Bring bikes as it is a perfect area for riding around, but just as good to walk around - we recommend stopping off at the Marsden Restaurant & Cafe in the Marsden Cove Marina!
The laundry is in the storage shed in the carport and is shared with Studio 5 (one of the other apartments)
The water’s edge is perfect for a stroll at low tide and still beautiful to relax beside when the tide is in
