4 TV's with basic cable, DVD player and wireless internet access. Fireplace, hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances and marble countertops. Reverse floor plan with two bedrooms, Two bathrooms and laundry room on the main level. Highchair and booster, DVDs. Front screened porch and covered porch with furniture. Deck with furniture. Outside shower with cold water, gas grill. Just a 1/2 mile to the beach access and only two blocks from the Oak Island Recreation Center. Enjoy a short walk to the beach over Oak Island's scenic walkway located just two streets away. A beach wagon is provided for all your beach essentials.

Please note that dogs are occasionally present during an owner stay for those guests who are allergic to pets.

Great house.

We met family here for vacation. House was quite nice and clean. It was a very comfortable place for 6 adults. Location was convenient, short drive to beach. Check-in time is 4:00pm which is pretty late and inconvenient. The early check-out time at 9:00am is also inconvenient. Overall we had a great week and would recommend this house.

Beds not made, smoke detectors removed

Staying in this place was too much work. We had to make all beds upon arrival. We were instructed to remove all linens after being used in place and a central area when we left. There was not any shampoo or soap for bathrooms. No extra linens. All the smoke detectors in the home had been removed and they were lying out on the kitchen counter with batteries out. We arrived a couple of hours early and I called and asked if they would please notify us if we could go in. We were told that the house had been clean, but needed to be inspected and they would let us know. We waited in the driveway no one ever called and at 4 o’clock we finally went into the home. No one ever came to inspect the home. I left a review with the Rental company and for the homeowner. I have never heard back from anyone about our issues. I would not recommend this property or the rental company.

We are disappointed that your vacation wasn't pleasurable. At Oak Island Accommodations, we follow company standards which states we are only allotted so many linens per guest, depending on the size of the unit. We also provide an Oak Island Accommodations rental starter kit, which includes a few necessities for your stay, however, we do encourage our guests to plan on packing or purchasing any other cleaning essentials needed for their stay. Safety is also one of our first concerns and protocol is to have all smoke detectors equipped and in their designated areas. We apologize that we didn't follow through with that procedure. We will take action to make sure this doesn't happen for future guests.

Southern Charm

Fantastic Vacation

The house was well=appointed and quite comfortable for a family vacation. In fact, had I known OKI--I would have rented a golf cart in advance to further explore the island. Suggest you book in advance if that appeals to you for your vacation. Happy travels!

Beautiful Beach Stay!

This place is super pretty! Every bedroom is super comfortable, and it has a great kitchen, cozy living room with a big couch, and really nice porches all around the house. Downsides are that the walk to the beach is about 20 minutes, and it's not ADA accessible-- lots of stairs.

Great House and Great Location!!

There were six of us that stayed at the house, 4 adults and two kids (3 and 6). The house was very clean (a big point for us), well appointed, and the location was great. We liked that the location wasn’t too far from the walkway across the creek which made for a fun walk to the beach. The house is also close to a new Publix, which is super convenient for groceries. We absolutely loved our stay here and plan to stay here again.
