The home was cozy, well decorated and clean . It was nice to be able to adjust temperatures in rooms being used with mini splits . The kitchen was set up with kitchen supplies needed to be able to cook and enjoy a meal. We also enjoyed a steak cooked on your grill . The back yard was beautiful with the river running through and sitting areas to enjoy the outdoors . It was convenient that we were right on the Va Creeper Trail . We rode the trail and we also hiked at the Channels of Va Trail . We enjoyed a delicious dinner at the Old Mill Restaurant. Friendly little town . We hope to visit and stay at your home again .
I can’t write enough good notes about this property. Even if I tried, words could not do justice to the beauty and serenity to the river and the nature surrounding it just a few steps from the house. The host was prompt and inviting with all of our questions. We enjoyed hiking, fishing, the local restaurants in Damascus, shops in Abingdon, and the Nicewonder Farm in Bristol with our boys while our daughter experinced a camp week at Emory & Henry University. Summary…so good for my souls!!Do yourself a favor and schedule guided trips with Stone Fly Shop!
