Pine Cabin sits on a cleared campsite in Haliburton Forest & Wildlife Reserve, surrounded by dense forest. Guests enjoy exclusive access to 100,000 acres of wilderness, with 400 km of hiking and biking trails from April to November right outside your door. In winter, an included snowmobile pass provides access to professionally groomed trails.
BE AWARE This cabin sits along Haliburton Forest’s North Road, a main snowmobile route in winter. Passing snowmobiles may create some noise.
Haliburton Forest operates nearby campsites about 200 metres from Pine Cabin, which still enjoys seclusion on its own lot.
WATER Our Micro cabins do not have running water. We provide 40L of water for dish washing and drinking. Public showers are available nearby, in the comfort stations at Base Camp.
DRIVE-IN /HIKE-IN ACCESS Drive-in: May 13–November Hike-in: November–May 13 (1.2 km, ~20-45 minutes) We provide snowshoes and a sled for gear—embrace the adventure! SNOWMOBLING & RENTALS The snowmobile season typically runs from early December to mid-March, depending on weather. Daily snowmobile trail passes are included in your nightly rate—valued at $52 per day per rider! Guests can bring their own snowmobiles or ATVs, or rent directly from Haliburton Forest (rentals start at $274/day).

OFF-GRID BASICS This eco-cabin is completely OFF-GRID. (Don’t let this scare you). Our cabin is modernized and solar powered with electricity and heat. Feel good knowing that you’re choosing a low-carbon, eco-friendly getaway. As an off-grid cabin, energy conservation is key. Drawing too much energy may cause you to lose power, so you’ll need to be mindful of your consumption during your stay. There is a back-up generator when solar power is low.
LEAVE NO TRACE All garbage and recycling must be packed up and taken home on your departure.
