Eagle’s Perch – A Riverside Retreat Near Nelson, BC
Welcome to Eagle’s Perch, a peaceful waterfront retreat tucked away in the forests of British Columbia’s spectacular West Kootenays. Located just 15 minutes from the vibrant mountain town of Nelson, this charming rustic home offers the perfect balance of comfort, privacy, and natural beauty.
Whether you’re planning a romantic escape, a family vacation, a ski trip, a summer adventure, or simply a quiet place to slow down and disconnect, Eagle’s Perch offers an unforgettable stay in one of British Columbia’s most beautiful regions.
Your Private Waterfront Escape
Nestled among towering cedars, firs, and hemlocks, Eagle’s Perch sits beside a calm stretch of Kootenay Lake, surrounded by forest and abundant wildlife.
Step outside with your morning coffee and watch bald eagles glide overhead. Throughout the seasons, you may also spot hummingbirds, kingfishers, herons, osprey, woodpeckers, ducks, and countless songbirds that call this peaceful area home.
In the evenings, beavers are often seen swimming through the water on their way home. White-tailed deer are plentiful, and you may even be lucky enough to spot a bear. Over the years, we have also welcomed an elk and a moose to the property.
Spend your days exploring the water’s edge or paddling downriver to the nearby island using the provided paddleboards, kayaks, or canoe. Go for a swim, relax in the hammock beneath the trees, or stretch out in the sunshine and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
A Private Retreat on a Shared 17-Acre Property
Eagle’s Perch is located on our family’s 17-acre property. Our home is set back in the forest approximately 450 feet away and cannot be seen directly from the rental house, allowing guests to enjoy a private and peaceful setting.
As this is also our family home, you may occasionally hear our two children laughing or playing in the distance—kids will be kids. We also have chickens and two very friendly dogs.
The dogs may be eager to stop by and say hello. Please let us know if you would prefer that they stay away, and we will be happy to keep them closer to our home. Otherwise, they will likely be delighted to pay you a friendly visit.
