Very nice, clean, well stocked home. We liked the split bedroom floor plan and great open basement. The large fenced backyard was a bonus for our dog. The very convenient location is in a very nice neighborhood with walking paths close by.

Did not get email about the check in process. Mainly the door code. Had to call VBRO to get it. Would like to get a text instead of email. Was on the road driving. Text would be alot better. Same thing happened last when staying at a VBRO

The four of us very much enjoyed our stay at the VRBO. It was clean, spacious and affordable. The owner was very prompt with communications both before and during our stay. A couple of things that the house needs are: grab bars on the tub/ showers, regular spatula ( not wooden ones that don’t work real well) , bottle opener for glass beer bottles and at least one hair dryer. These are minor things. Overall it was a good experience.

Four guys stayed for an Iowa State football game. 45 minutes from Jack Trice Stadium. Worked out nice.

Family Thanksgiving

This was a great place to spend the Thanksgiving weekend with our family. Great neighborhood. Lots of space for our big family. The arrival of snow last night added to the feel of the holidays. We will put it on our list of favorites.

Just ok

This is a spacious home but could use some furnishing upgrades especially in the largest bedroom. We were grateful for the fenced backyard for our two small dogs but it’s down a flight of stairs from the deck and there isn’t a light in the yard at night so our dogs had difficulty navigating the stairs (and I had trouble cleaning up after them.) A motion-detector light back there would be a great improvement. We didn’t have children so this wasn’t a problem for us, but there is no door to close off the steps to the finished lower level and I imagine this could be a safety concern for families with small children. The property is in a nice quiet neighborhood on the outskirts of Des Moines.

Fantastic Weekend

We were in town for the Iowa St game and everything went perfectly. Iowa St beat Baylor to stay undefeated and the property was terrific for our small group of 6. We were even allowed to have our miniature GoldenDoodle stay as well. Joy was easy to get ahold of if we had any questions and the house was very clean and had everything we needed. We would definitely stay here again if the opportunity presented itself. Thank you so much for everything!

Great house

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is big and could fit 6 females for a girls weekend. Only thing is that we could not find extra blankets for the pullout couch. So might want to bring a blanket with you if you will be using that.

Fun family reunion in Urbandale

This property was perfect for 3 couples, one with 2 small children. The fenced yard was helpful, and the 3 year old had a blast with the stomp rockets in the finished basement. We did bring a baby gate which helped with the 1 year old as there is no door to the basement. It was a perfect space for visiting. There is a small neighborhood park within a short walking distance. Overall we were very pleased as it is not far from family in Urbandale. Communication with the owners was very fast and appreciated.

Great stay

We had a wonderful time. The house was perfect for my four friends and me. It was a nice quiet neighborhood and the house was clean and comfortable. We did have a little trouble with getting Netflix to work but the owner was very helpful and offered to come and get it working for us. It was late so we decided that we don’t need to watch tv anyway. The owner, Joy, was very easy to work with. Thank you for the wonderful accommodations.

Needs attention to detail

We only stayed one night and the house was ok for a stop over on our road trip but I would not stay again as it just doesn’t get the attention to detail we are looking for. Lots of broken things, outdated and not very clean. Subdivision was nice just the property itself I don’t think gets much attention or effort.

Nice house, great location!

Great location and communication with owner. We have 2 small dogs that travelled with us, so the "pet friendly" listing and fenced-in back yard very necessary. Not quite sure microfiber sofa is pet-friendly, but backyard access was great. There's a park a couple of blocks away that we used for early morning walks...super nice! Quiet neighborhood deeply appreciated. Gas, coffee, groceries, etc., all close by. Interior ould use some updating, but kitchen well stocked and necessary paper goods all well at hand as well. We had to take our trash to the container in the park as the two dumpsters supplied were full when we arrived on Thursday, and Wednesday was the pick-up day...not sure what happened there. All in all, this house worked out well for our family reunion and we had a great time! Thank you!

The house is situated in a nice neighborhood. The area is quiet. Close to a lot of restaurants and good shopping. The house is neat, basic, roomy. The beds are comfortable. The toilet had an issue and the owner came immediately to fix it. I really appreciated that.

Girls weekend

The property was perfect to meet up with friends for the weekend. We checked out the Des Moines area during the day and reconnected at the house in the evenings. Beautiful neighborhood to go walking.

This is a very nice house in a very nice and safe neighborhood very clean. The only problem was in the description it said sleeps 10 and it does but the owner charges extra for anybody over 4 I questioned it as we had 7 and they did lower the price. This is a very nice place but not sure I would stay again
