Rivers Rest – Beautiful Riverfront Townhome in Downtown Helen

Finally, you have that time away, and you are looking to relax sitting on a porch listening to the river flow by and having a cup of coffee. Perhaps you are seeking the wonderful fresh smells of the mountains? Sit on the porch with friends and a glass of our local wine.

At River's Rest you have all the conveniences of home with plenty of living room seating, a gas log fireplace and a television on the mantel. The kitchen boasts of full size appliances, including a dishwasher. Choose the standard 12-cup drip or the Keurig one-cup coffee maker. There is a washer and dryer for convenience. The dining area has chairs for six guests with more seating on the porch at the pine table with benches. The rocking chairs, glider settee and tables are an Amish wood design. There is an electric grill, too!

The master bedroom features a king bed and a private bath with a walk-in shower and a jetted garden tub. The guest bedroom has a set of bunk beds with queen size mattresses on both top and bottom. The guest bathroom has a walk-in shower. With the sofa bed, this little gem will accommodate up to 8 people.

The upstairs porch has a hammock and two hanging egg swing chairs for relaxation.

A short walk puts you in the downtown area with many options for dining. The walk back to the property is a lovely path along the river. If you are planning all of these relaxing moments, then Rivers Rest is the place for you.

This is a pet-friendly cabin and a one-time per-pet fee will be added if you bring your dog. The pet fee that will be added to your reservation is $75 + tax. Only one dog weighing 70 lbs maximum is allowed.

• Parking: Space is available for 2 vehicles.
• Access: The roads are paved all the way to the property. The driveway is not suitable for low profile vehicles.

Great stay in Helen!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at River's Rest. With little to no free parking in the Helen City limits, it was great to be within walking distance! We all enjoyed the river, teens and adults included. Highly recommend!

Magical Stay

This condo is right beside the river, walkable distance to downtown Helen (this is very helpful while there were traffics to the town); enough bed for family of 5; clean, and beautiful neighborhood! Will come back again!

Perfect location, perfect place to stay

Our expectations were exceeded with this place, the pictures don't do it justice. A perfect loction with everything we could want and within walking distance to local food and attractions. The hot tub was one of the best I have used at any rental and the view from it was awesome. Bed was comfortable, the property was clean, the property management contaced us to be sure we had everything we needed. One of the best places I have ever rented honestly. We are planning to stay here again for sure!

Tons of room for a large family!

With three kids and a wife, there was enough room to avoid too much chaos and stress. Once you arrive, you’ll notice the driveway is extremely steep, but I didn’t grind my bumper in a Hyundai Elantra, so I can say it’s more than manageable. It is three stories, with two patios, two bedrooms, one with a queen bunk beds, and lots of room in the common areas on the second floor. Right across the street is the intertwining river, and the view from the patio is awesome. Additionally, there’s extra linens, blankets, basic kitchen supplies -including coffee filters and K-Cups. Overall, it was an awesome stay in Helen, GA; the property is priced competitively, it is well decorated, the location is quiet but relatively close to all the fun, and the staff/owners called to ensure we had a good experience at least three times on our two night stay. If you have a family and don’t know where to stay, this is an excellent choice, unless you have an issue with stairs. *Someone from their team called me within 10 minutes of checking out because my daughter left a toy.

Excellent Property

This place was better than described! It was spotlessly clean and so tastefully decorated and welcoming. The beds were super comfortable! I didn’t realize there was a jacuzzi spa in the master bathroom, which was a nice bonus! The easily accessible patios made the place seem even more spacious. The kitchen was well supplied with appliances but the one frustration (and it’s a relatively small one…) was there was only one dish towel available to us. No dish rags to wipe counters were provided either. I called the management about it and she said that’s all the housekeeping must have left us and advised us to use paper towels. However, the paper towels were way too thin and cheap for that. We ended up using the black “refresh” face towels from the bath towels to wipe the counters. No big deal in the big scheme of things. It would have also been nice to have napkins supplied so we bought a pack and left it for the next guests. We had a wonderful time. Our only regret was not having more time to enjoy the area!

Decor was very cute as well. Loved all the lighting options for inside and outside! The decks were our favorite spots. We spent most our time out there and watching the river and the people tubing. Location is close enough to walk to town if you don’t mind a walk (about 10 minutes to Main Street). We walk all over, so we did it one day. Warning of a Steep driveway- which we were not used to but it got easier. It could be difficult in winter. Also be aware of lots of stairs. If you have elderly or people with mobility issues this is not the cabin for you. Carrying heavy suitcases and coolers was less than ideal up two flights. We had one issue with the AC and they had it fixed right away. Only room for improvement would be updates in the bathroom, better cleaning of spiderwebs from the high vaulted ceilings upstairs (they were getting pretty big), and some spraying for bugs on the deck. Looked like carpenter bees and/or wasps were making nests.

Our weekend stay was wonderful for my daughter’s 13th birthday with friends. There was plenty of space to accommodate 6 guests. The property was nice and clean and we had no issues during our stay.
