A cozy mountain setting near Asheville, Black Mountain, and Montreat. At the heart of all the attractions our mountains have to offer: hike, bike, river sports, Biltmore Estate, Asheville events, LEAF and other major festivals. Or just kick back and enjoy our comfortable, cozy setting. This cottage can hold as little as two people or can sleep 6. The back porch is wonderful to enjoy a cup of coffee as the sun comes up through the trees. We welcome you!

This is a perfect home for a couple or small family to explore the Asheville area. It has a very homey feel. The home is set up well. The area is convenient, yet quiet.We would gladly stay here for a return trip. The Swannano/Black Mountain area is wonderful!

Cardinal Cottage is a very comfortable and convenient place to stay. It is well stocked and very clean. The owners are close by and respond immediately to any questions. The location was perfect for our destinations - Blue Ridge Parkway, Asheville and Black Mountain. Recommend it highly.

Enjoyed our stay at this property. Very clean and well stocked kitchen. Cute decor.We had a problem understanding the TV set up (which was totally our fault). The owners , Nancy and Barry were quick to respond and help us. Will book again when in that area.

Very comfortable clean place and had everything we needed. Location is about 15 minutes drive to Asheville or Black mountain and would stay again.

This house was in a quiet area, with easy parking, entrance with no steps, and all the living space was on one floor, making this a good choice for seniors. The gas grill worked well, and instructions were clearly printed out for all appliances. It was a quick drive to the house from the highway which accessed the interstate for heading to Asheville or the nearby town of Black Mountain. The house had a homey feel to it!

Loved the Cardinal Cottage. Decor was comfortable without being cluttered. Sofas were arranged for a group conversation area. Beds an baths were clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay again and recommend to friends and family.

Easy Stay

Our stay was nice and easy. There was plenty of room to have 5 separate beds with the trundle beds. It was closer to town than I thought it would be, but still in a peaceful setting.
