This was a perfect fit for my best friend and I to meet up for a week of relaxation and exploring the area. The location made it easy to get to Ashville and Black Mountain and the surrounding areas for our adventures. We loved the back porch for breakfast and cards in the evening.
We had a great time staying at this lovely home that had an amazing view of the mountains! Home had everything we needed! Would definitely consider staying again if back in the Asheville area!
This cozy cottage had everything we needed to make our stay wonderful. We enjoyed the sites of Asheville and was able to retreat and relax after a long day.
We really enjoyed our stay. Great property and location, clean, comfortable, and the check in-and-out process was simple and easy.
We also absolutely loved our dinner at Busch Farmhouse in Black Mountain. Fantastic food - you should definitely make time to give it a try!
We came up for a long weekend. Everything was clean, well maintained, and well communicated. Property is easy to access by car and close to attractions, but still in a nicely quiet neighborhood. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again!
This was an Anniversary trip to Biltmore. The home was very clean, comfortable and we enjoyed staying here very much! Wish we could have explored Black Mountain a little more. An interesting town! Thanks so much for opening your lovely home to us! Love Cardinals, too!
We enjoyed our stay at this home in Swannanoa. Close to Black Mountain and Asheville. Many things to do in the area, you just need to decide what fits your particular wants. Nancy and Barry were very good and accommodating hosts.
Great location & comfy house. The back deck was wonderful for dinner & relaxing after a day of exploring! The road was pleasant for taking evening strolls & nearby Charles Owen Park was a delightful way to start my mornings! I would stay at this cottage again although I would need a lesson on how to operate the TV & open windows (probably user error!!)!!
Just FYI, the night light in the master bath needs a new bulb. Really enjoyed our stay. Did take the topper off the queen bed. Maybe just replacing the mattress would be a better fix.
My wife and I were looking at some properties and meeting with a builder in Asheville and wanted a more rural location then downtown. This location is on a dead end street and quite peaceful. There are no steps into the unit, and a large dining room table were we could eat and get some work done..
An added bonus was this is the only place while traveling in the Southeast that we saw a black bear near the propery.
Great communication and complete instructions on everything. Very peaceful area and close to everything, Black Mountain, Lake Lure, Biltmore, downtown Asheville and all surrounding areas! We had a wonderful weekend! Thank you!
PS we left a pair of glasses and messaged the owner/ manager and within minutes she called and searched and set them out for us to turn around and come pick them up!
Thanks so much! Brenda
This lovely, spacious cabin was incredibly comfortable for our party of 5! We had two adults, two 18-year olds, and a 20-year-old. There was plenty of space for everyone.
The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed, and we ate almost all our meals there. All the appliances were current and worked wonderfully well.
The beds all had SUPER comfortable memory foam mattress, so we all slept like logs! ;-)
Everything in the house was labeled and easy to find and had instructions for use.
It was a beautiful area, convenient to Black Mountain and Asheville with a fenced-in backyard for younger kids.
We would definitely stay here again in the future!
We needed a place to stay close to Black Mountain without paying the Black Mountain prices that had everything we needed. We found it. It was our sons graduation and the last thing we needed was to worry about our stay. Plenty of room for my wife and our 2 adult children. If would sleep probably 6 or 8. It was very clean. Within a 5 minute drive to almost everything. The property had all the supplies we needed and had plenty of additional blankets and pillows. The owners were very polite and responded promptly. Thank you for helping us make ours sons graduation a pleasant one.

Disappointed
Our objectives were met, but I asked twice for a telephone call to fix a simple issue of operating the TV and was ignored.
For our 3 day weekend in Asheville, this property was perfect! Close to a grocery store and a few fun restaurants in the area, and to get to downtown was just a short under 20 minute drive. The property was clean and had all the things we needed. The back yard was a bonus with being fenced in and perfect for the kiddos to run around. It also seemed to be a safe area with wonderful views! If we are coming back in the area we will definitely look up the Cardinal Cottage again. Thanks for the lovely stay!
We stayed at Nancy and Barry's place the first time about 2 years ago and again this past weekend. It was wonderful then and wonderful now. It's a very clean and nicely decorated 3 bedroom unit, with all the necessities. The hosts are very communicative from booking to check-in to check-out. Everything was easy and smooth. It's a great location and a short drive from everything. Highly recommend. I give them an A+ :)
House is comfy. Our three year old twins grands stayed for a day with us and played. Our oldest grandson spent one night. All in all stay was fine. My grandson did play an outside game they had set up with a ball. He did not put the balls back on the court. My mistake I def should have checked. This was brought to my attention via the host. Not sure that was necessary but ok. Overall nice place to stay.
