Walk to nearby Cheshire Village for a few drinks and dinner or drive 2 min to charming downtown where you can enjoy shopping and great dining with over 35 restaurants. Enjoy easy access to the Biltmore Estate and Blue Ridge Parkway (10 min), historic Montreat (2 min), and downtown Asheville (15 min).
About an hour to WNC's ski resorts (45 if you drive REALLY fast).
Designed with comfort in mind, our 3-bedroom, 2.5-bathroom retreat features a fully stocked kitchen and a private fenced backyard, perfect for families or groups of friends. With a large two-car garage and additional driveway parking, there's plenty of room for cars, bikes, and even small water toys.

BEDROOMS AND BATHS: The Sweet Birch Modern Retreat has three bedrooms and two and a half baths. The master bedroom has a premium king size bed and a full private bathroom with separate enclosed shower and soaking tub. It has a large walk-in closet, 45" smart tv, and a large desk. The second bedroom has a queen size bed with large closet. The third bedroom also has a queen bunk bed and large closet. The second bathroom is located between bedroom 2 and bedroom 3 and has a tub/shower combination with dual sinks. A full-size washer and dryer are located right off the master bedroom in a dedicated laundry room. A powder room is located right off the rear entrance on the first floor.
KITCHEN: A beautiful open kitchen awaits you! The chef in your group will love the easy layout of the kitchen, the high-end stainless-steel Whirlpool appliances, gas range with oven, granite slab countertops, great supply of small appliances, and very good quality cookware and serving ware. There are 4 counter stools at the island for chatting with the cook and the dining table for 6 is just off to the side.
DINING AREA: There's a dining table that will seat six comfortably, with an expansion for more room. Just a few feet away there is seating for four more at the kitchen bar.
LIVING ROOM: The living room is open to the dining area and kitchen, with a 75" flat screen Smart TV. There is a cozy sectional couch situated to enjoy a friendly conversation or stretch out and watch a movie, read a book, or even take a nap. You'll also find a nice collection of board games and books in the game nook area.
OUTDOOR AMENITIES: Sweet Birch Modern Retreat also has a private fenced in yard with a patio and seating area to enjoy your a glass of wine or a snack outside.
SETTING: Sweet Birch Commons is located in Black Mountain's newest charming community tucked in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Walk to Cheshire Village, or a short bike ride to Engles Supermarket.
Cherry Street is a window shopper's dream with plentiful gift shops, galleries, antique shops and stores filled with locally made crafts. Shoppers of all types will want to peruse the wares at Town Hardware which boasts an inventory of 35,000 items from over the years.
EAT, DRINK and BE MERRY: Despite being a small town, Black Mountain has a lot of restaurants - 35 according to the visitors board.
TAKE A HIKE: Black Mountain is a hiker's paradise, surrounded by mountains crisscrossed with trails. Visit DuPont State Forest Waterfalls or Catawba Falls, hie up Mount Mitchell or Chimney Rock, or take to one of the many trains that run through the Pisgah National Forest. If you prefer to explore nature from the comfort of your car, Black Mountain's proximity to the Blue Ridge Parkway makes sightseeing easy.
CLOSEST AIRPORT: It's about a twenty-five minute drive to the Asheville Regional Airport.
ACTIVITIES NEARBY: Enjoy hiking and mountain biking in the nearby Pisgah National Forest or Blue Ridge Mountains (both less than a ten minute drive), fishing, golf, white-water rafting, horseback riding, breweries and all that the towns of Asheville, and Black Mountain have to offer. Walking around Tomahawk Lake is a swift 5 min drive, while Lake Lure and Lake James are about 30 min away.
