Stunning Ranch Home with Ocean Views



The Acorn is located 2 miles south of Carmel across Highway One from Point Lobos State Park - one of the most magnificent and picturesque areas on the West Coast. This property is located on approximately 5 acres on the top of a knoll overlooking Carmel Bay, Pebble Beach and Point Lobos. Surrounded by open space and park land, the Acorn is a very private setting yet only a 5 minute drive to a new Safeway, shopping and Carmel-by-the-Sea shops and dining. Golf, scuba diving, hiking, beaches -- all close by. Big Sur is a scenic drive just 40 minutes south on Highway One. In addition to the main house, there is a charming guest house with full accommodations.


The Main House: The main house features a king master suite with sliding glass doors that provide romantic, breathtaking views of Point Lobos and Pebble Beach and access to the home's expansive deck. There is also a queen bedroom with separate bathroom and dressing room that also has access to the deck via sliding glass doors. Two additional bedrooms each have two twin beds.
Guest House: The guest cottage is a charming, cozy 2-room cottage with a king bed, full bath, kitchenette and laundry. This unique cottage provides ultimate privacy from the main house should you so desire. Yet it is close enough to provide additional guest accommodations for friends or family.

We allow a maximum of 8 guests, including infants and children.

Please note , no Events of any kind are permitted at The Acorn Ranch Home.

We allow up to 2 dogs for a fee of $195.

This trip was well beyond our highest expectations. The home is gorgeous and very comfortable! Fantastic views from almost every room. The kitchen was very well equipped for cooking and baking. The location is spectacular, being within a quick walk to Point Lobos State Park and beach. The happy surprise was that the horse pasture butts right up to the deck of the house so we had friendly visits from two beautiful horses, close enough to pat and scratch them!

We spent 5 days at the Acorn Ranch with extended family exploring point Lobos and the Big Sur area. The property is gorgeous, spacious, well stocked, and has amazing views from multiple rooms. Great ranch house for a large group of friends

Unique old ranch, very well equipped, with horse, cows and turkeys walking around for a peaceful feeling and lots of fire places for group nights. Being across from Point Lobos Park a huge plus. Our group of 8 loved it.

Perfect for our family—A Family Tradition

We just completed our third stay at the Acorn. My wife and I, our son and his wife and our 2 grandchildren. The Acorn fits us to a T. Lots of room inside and out, a gorgeous view, great fireplaces. We play wiffle ball and soccer with the young kids out back, enjoy the spectacular Point Lobos Park across the street and visit the Aquarium. Very grateful to stay at this wonderful home.

Relaxing ranch overlooking Point Lobos & Carmel Bay

Very charming ranch with lots of comfortable furnishing and rustic charm. Overlooks horse pasture which was very cool . The views at all times of day are amazing. Close to everything … grocery , gas, Carmel sunset beach , Point Lobos tidal pools , short ride to Big Sur . Very relaxing location! Highly recommend!

Fabulous location, spectacular views.

This was definitely a magnificent experience. The history and pictures add to the story of this magical place. We loved seeing the horses in the pasture in front of us, as well as deer, coyotes, and wild turkeys. Great owner that is very available to contact. Highly recommend staying here. Hope to come back again.
