Sailor's Rest is my favorite place I've stayed. My family and I had a wonderful time. The property is absolutely amazing and has so many intricacies to admire. The pool was fantastic, the gardens are beautiful and the hosts are wonderfully kind. You cannot miss this place, it's genuinely one of a kind.We spend a significant amount of time in the Bahamas and this gave me the same energy. Truly a relaxing vacation.Thank you Ginny and Neil!

The little details matter! This place was amazing! Beautiful property, impeccably decorated, and the hosts met all expectations! The only regret was that we didn’t spend enough time on the property since we were here to see nearby family! Highly recommended!

Very beautiful property. Peaceful and comfortably furnished. Owners go out of their way to make guests feel welcome. Lots of little extras: eggs from their chickens, s’more kits, firewood, beach pass for a private beach that is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. Pool, outside fireplace, bar areas, grill, ice machine,koi pond, lots of little nooks to relax and enjoy nature.

It was too cold to use the pool but my daughter loved exploring the rest of the property. You won't meet finer hosts. You'll never stay at a more unique property. There's a personal touch on everything!

Lovely Oasis

Beautiful, unique, and comfortable !

My husband and two sons and I loved staying at Sailor’s Rest . The place was immaculate inside, and the grounds around the home are beautiful. The pool was perfect , and my sons also enjoyed the tree house and s’mores at the fire pit. The hosts are delightful and very helpful .

Serene place w/beautiful gardens

The grounds are so beautiful with their luscious gardens, pool and other areas to relax and enjoy. Wish we had spent more time at Sailor's rest and not been off the property as much. There were also wonderfully delicious restaurants nearby.

Beautiful property in a perfect location

Sailors rest is gorgeous, and the owners are very friendly and courteous. They offered fresh eggs and a full kitchen for those who like to cook, and for those who don't, there's plenty of restaurants nearby that don't disappoint.

Very nice

The house was very clean, lots of room for four people. The location is also great, as well as the hosts. It is nice how they provide other amenities such as a pool and areas outside to hangout. 5/5 I would stay again

Lovely property!

We loved everything about this place!! Ginny and Neil were great hosts.The pool, the gardens and the fire place were great. So much creativity in one place! It was close to beaches ( the park pass was great) and about 25 minutes to downtown charleston! We would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful Escape

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this wonderfully unique house and property. It felt like you were in your own relaxing world. It was a great location. Close to John’s Island main drag and about 20 minutes to Charleston. The owners are wonderful people who put their heat and soul into this place. I highly recommend this property.

Our stay at Sailors Rest was amazing! The hosts were very friendly and responsive, but still gave us a lot of privacy and space on the property. We probably saw them briefly twice. Their daughter helps with messages and she was very quick to respond to my questions on the website, esp regarding the hurricane watch we found ourselves in. (We were safe and fine! Property is well above sea level.) The property itself was beautiful, well stocked with toiletries, pool supplies, and fresh eggs upon request. Landscaping and overall property design was impressive! We loved our private pool time and the sauna. Thank you to the hosts!
