This property is fantastic. It’s clean, beautiful, it’s spacious enough for large groups, great kitchen and a huge living/dining area. It’s an incredible location, and with a great host. Can’t be beat.

Perfect Stay

This house is the best house we have stayed in Lake Placid. We had three families of four and there was more than enough room for everyone. The location is walking distance to town and 20 minutes to White Face. Excellent VRBO!

Excellent Stay

This property is in a perfect location for local stays in and around Lake Placid - walkable to Main St. Chris was a great communicator and made it super easy to check in. Listing is even better than described and in pictures! Highly recommend this place and will hopefully be lucky enough to stay again!

Beautiful House, Perfect Location!

I can't recommend the Acorn Cottage enough! It is a beautiful house and just a short walk into town. The owners were very accommodating as well. We will be back!

Great stay for Lake Placid Marathon

The house was everything and then some. The spaciousness and close proximity downtown made this a must have. If we come back next year for the marathon we are definitely staying here!

Beautiful spacious home

We had a great stay at this gorgeous home and enjoyed its close proximity to the main drag in Lake Placid, in addition to grocery stores, hiking trails, etc. It was clean, super inviting, and a great space for a big group of friends. The home had everything we needed.

Great place for Ironman!

This house was terrific for our group! Very easy walk downtown, which was ideal for athletes and spectators, yet far enough removed from the stress of downtown leading up to the race. We ate in a few nights and found the kitchen to be well stocked with everything we needed and appreciate the large living space to hangout. Great experience!

It's all good

The house is deceptively large and accommodated our large family group with ages from 1 to 74. The location is ideal. It is just a few minutes walk from the downtown area (steep hill included) and very close to a playground. There are lots of restaurants and take out food places and all the outdoor activities you could want. Just remember to bring plenty of toilet paper!!

Fabulous

The pictures don't do it justice! So much more spacious than expected. Kitchen is fully stocked with all you can need for cooking and feeding a crowd. The younger group really enjoyed having their own space downstairs. And those seeking quiet, found it in the library room. Just a quick walk and you are on main street. All around a super stay.

Wonderful Group Getaway!

I traveled with a large group of friends for a winter getaway weekend. The VRBO listing for this house does not do it justice. The was plenty of room for our group of 12: comfortable sleeping accommodations, plenty of bathrooms, lots of different sitting rooms for relaxation and socializing. The house would be also be great if traveling with a family. We had a yoga session in the house and there was plenty of space for everyone to practice comfortably. The hot tub was wonderful, especially after exploring Lake Placid in the winter. There’s room for 3 cars in the driveway and any additional cars are able to park in the public overnight parking in town. We were especially excited that town was a short walking distance. Chris was very easy to work with and gave lots of information and recommendations. He is very easily reachable to answer any questions. The instructions for the house were very clear and easy to follow. If I travel back to Lake Placid in the future, I hope to have the opportunity to stay again! Highly recommend!

Great property, great location

Six of us enjoyed a long weekend in Lake Placid. The house was clean, comfy and full of everything we needed. The location was great; we could walk downtown. Three parking spaces was an excellent addition to the property. We hit the fall foliage just perfectly and had a blast at the various Olympic sites. The owner was great, very communicative. We all would highly recommend this property!

Great Location!

This house was everything we could have asked for and more! The Acorn Cottage accommodated a girls trip of 12! It was the perfect size, spacious and has an amazing basement, with a pub! This location is a complete prime spot. Walking distance from downtown, once we got there everything was walking distance. There is a food store down the street as well. The owner Chris was so helpful, gave great recommendations and was great to work with. If we ever come back to Lake Placid, we would absolutely stay here again!
