We had a wonderful stay, and the location was great. The cottage had everything we needed, including a hand, written note, welcoming us! We will definitely come and stay again!!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The cottage is older, but is very clean and has everything you would want when staying. The lanscaping/rushing creek is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. We will definitely stay here again!
Brought my son up for a "boys" weekend for some fishing and hiking, and this place did not disappoint. The property was extremely clean and very well stocked with just about anything you could need. The property host was more then accommodating and checked in to make sure we had everything we needed (in addition to providing some great recommendations). Extremely happy with everything!
We enjoyed sitting outside at night with a glass of wine beside a rushing creek, and a crackling fire. This setting gave us a relaxing respite from the modern world. Every amenity you could desire in a getaway retreat was provided. The cabin was very clean, the bed linens were high quality; everything was well thought out! We loved our stay and wish we had stayed longer, but plan on revisiting in the future. This place is just perfect!
What a nice stay! We went skiing and we were so pleased with the location, literally on the same road as the slopes. The cottage was so homey and peaceful. The creek flowing in the background was a natural sound machine. The big puffy pillows were so comfy, and the cottage was very clean and decorated perfectly. They even had a high chair and a pack in play perfect for our 1 year old. We will keep this gem in mind for next ski trip, thank so much!
Cutely decorated cabin and clean. It had what we needed and we enjoyed the noise of the stream.
I wish I could have gotten the windows open to hear the water at night, and a shower curtain for privacy so that a person could shower and another can be in the bathroom would be nice. The washer and dryer also need updated. Minor suggestions.

I’m so very sorry that our cottage did not meet all your expectations! I wish we had known about your concerns during your visit, as we would have taken steps to help resolve them immediately. The cottage was built in the 1950s and along with all its wonderful charm and character, there are some quirks. The windows tend to stick in the summer heat. Our property manager would have been have to help you get them open. They can be difficult and it is something we will address in future renovation plans. Also, my apologies that the fabric shower curtain was missing. Our cleaning team takes it down regularly to wash it between guest stays, and it was a complete accident that it did not get put back up before your arrival. And although we are not aware of any concerns about the washer dryer not working properly, they are older and we will make plans to update them as soon as possible. We hope you will consider staying with us again so we have the opportunity to give you the five star experience so many of our guests have enjoyed. Thank your for the valuable feedback and opportunity to improve. Best wishes -Loriel and Adam
Keaton Creekside Cottage did not disappoint, as expectected. My family and I have stayed here before, and the 4 of us love it dearly. The cabin is a small, beautiful, quaint dwelling that hugs a rushing creek, tucked under the trees.
The cabin has everything you need, and if not, very short drive to get supplies. It is such a wonderful getaway place to escape a short period of ones stresses and responsibilities of everyday life.
First time being in December, we had multiple camp fires, made smores, panned for and found flakes of gold in the creek. We cooked out, cooked in, and just enjoyed the beauty of it all...especially witht the snow flurries on or last day, and day we left.
Loriel (and Adam) are great hosts, and keep everything top notch an on point. Communication is the best, with them.
Do not pass Go, do not collect $200, whether you need a mini vaca or a long one, you wont be disappointed at Keaton Creekside Cottage!

Charming quaint cottage situated on a picturesque creek. Private location with easy access. Exceptional hosts. Look foward to re-visiting in the future
Nice fall getaway, location perfect with easy access to great restaurants and activities
Simply everything we needed for our mountain trip! Comfortable beds, clean! Fast drive to Joey’s pancake house, perfect breakfast spot, firepit by the creek was so relaxing! Definitely get my recommendations!
As being 24/7 caregivers for my 97 yr old mom we look for places that are safe for her as well as a great rest period for us. Mom enjoyed knitting, sitting in front of the big dining room window for better light. I enjoyed sitting by the creek with coffee and resting my mind. We were also able to use the grill and fire pit ( weather permitting) A day trip to Cherokee bringing back memories for mom and new ones for us. Keaton Creekside Cottage was just what we needed and the Host was spectacular in all our cummunications. ( I had many questions)
We shall return when time and life permits..
Nicely Updated Cabin by Runnning Stream, Nice Hosts
This is an older cabin that has been renovated and updated. The hosts were very nice and accommodating. The washer wasn't working when we got there and they took our clothes and washed them for us, since they couldn't get the washer repaired or replaced while we were there. The stream in the back yard is very nice. I prefer a firm bed and the one we slept in was too soft. I also usually look for a cabin with a view of the mountains and other than the stream, this has none, which is my fault for not noticing that in the pictures and description.

Thank you for your review John. We really did our best to accommodate you all when the washer dryer broke. These things happen and we have since replaced it with a brand new one for our future guests. Thank you all for staying and for your feedback. Very best wishes.
This was our fifth stay in Maggie Valley and by far the favorite place we have stayed. The creek is awesome, the kitchen very well stocked, beds very comfy, and lots of little extra touches. Communication with the owners was excellent, they really go above and beyond to make sure you have a great stay. You will love it here and will not want to leave, trust me.
The cabin was very clean, kitchen was well stocked and we practically lived on the deck looking/listening to the creek. I was disappointed in the mattress and lack of table or chair in bedroom - no place to put suitcase. Iron and ironing board would be a nice amenity. With better bedding, would certainly stay again.
The Keaton Cottage is a gem! It is perfect inside and out, and an oasis of serenity away from bustling cities and highways. The online pictures were nice, but when you walk through the front door and start to take in the beauty of this cottage.......you get the feeling of home away from home.
Having the creek behind the house, with the soothing sounds of the water rushing by, added to the tranquility of our stay. It also kept the kids busy, while my wife and I sat on the back deck, enjoying the peace and quiet.
Loriel is a fantastic, caring and attentive lady. My wife and I will be sticking with her for our yearly treks to Maggie Valley, either at this property or her other one in town.
Can't wait until next time!

If you want a beautiful creek side cottage then this is the place for you! The cottage was equipped with everything we needed. We spent most of our time outside roasting marshmallows and taking family pictures by the creek. We also enjoyed hanging out in the living room watching tv with the fireplace going. The morning of our departure I was washing the dishes and caught a family of elk walking across the street. We just absolutely loved our stay and will be back!

The creek is just wonderful and relaxes you immediately. It is loud when out on the deck, so you have to speak up a bit. Fire pit is great but unfortunately it rained every evening so we were unable to take advantage. House is small but very nice and comfortable, kitchen is tiny but well equipped, coffee in the morning sitting by the creek was a pleasure. Beds were great. I would stay again for sure. Elk walked into yard on our last day, great up close experience.
