Perfect getaway! We stay in cabins often and this was a favorite. Kitchen was stocked with everything we could possibly need, beds and pillows were extremely comfortable. Recliners were amazing. We loved sitting on the screened in porch listening to and watching the river. The owners obviously care about their guests and their comfort. Thanks for a wonderful getaway!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property was better than described (not that the owner didn't do a great job). Everything was just as stated but the cleanliness was among the best I have ever seen. The river was clear and I saw some of the biggest trout I have ever seen for this area. My wife and I like to go to different places and we seldom return to a place we have stayed before but we have both decided to go back here! Loved it!
The cabin was phenomenal! To enjoy the creek from the spacious screened porch was wonderful. The fire pit was definitely an asset as well. Our girls weekend was October. The only challenge was the driveway. It would help to have it marked better because it is a bit of a journey through the woods to get to the cabin. It’s well worth the effort, but directional arrows or something to let you know you are on track would be so helpful. 4 wheel drive isn’t necessary but would be helpful as well. We loved our stay and would go back again (even if the driveway doesn’t get marked)!
We were a party of five adults and the cabin was perfect for us. We spent most of our time on the screened in porch enjoying the creek. Particularly liked that the kitchen was well stocked and there was a washer/dryer.
Kathy made sure we had everything we needed for a wonderful and relaxing weekend at the cabin! We will definitely be back next year! Another "Sister's Weekend" in the books!!!
We enjoyed our week in Ellijay! The cabin was perfectly cozy. The creek and the view out back were picture perfect. We enjoyed nearby hikes and wineries, but just sitting by the fireplace reading was my favorite. I will say the final few minutes of the drive up to the cabin were frightening for this Florida girl. I’m not used to gravel hills and the hill getting back out made me nervous!
Thank you for sharing your cabin with us, we absolutely loved it! The cabin is beautiful, charming decor, well stocked, etc. The location is awesome, the sound of running water greets you as you step out of the vehicle. It draws you around to the back to see the waterfront source prior to even stepping foot into the cabin. Very peaceful and relaxing trip! My husband says this one is his choice for our return trips, which we try to do each fall. I have to say I agree with his choice! Thanks again!
Very beautiful property! Cabin was clean and nicely furnished. Location is great. Sound of the creek is so pleasant and relaxing. Our stay was very enjoyable!
Cozy mountain cabin. Close to the creek. We slept with the doors open to enjoy the "creek music". The cabin is well appointed. We cooked a few meals there during our stay. Reece's cider house is close by as are a few vineyards. We hiked Amicolola Falls which is a short drive away. We were too early for fall colors, but should be amazing in a few weeks. We are already looking forward to a return trip.
Well maintained and great location. Stayed at the cabin for a wedding ceremony at Summit Farms nearby. The cabin met all expectations for our vacation. Visited the nearby falls and Reece Apple Cidery. Would definitely stay here again.
Difficult to find because the "502" and "504" signs were bent and looked like "512" and "514." Other than that, we had a great time and would rent again.
I took my parents here for Thanksgiving weekend and we absolutely loved the cabin! It is located directly over a creek and inside is cozy with everything you need for a relaxing stay. There are so many special touches that make you feel welcome and comfortable, and communication with the owners is exceptional. Any questions we had they were quick to respond and provide tips for local events. It was a special weekend with my parents and time we will cherish. We had a fantastic experience! One thing we would love to do another time when it’s warmer is fish in the creek.
We were in awe of the cabin. The view outdide felt like you were in the presence of the all mighty God. I did find a small spider in my bed the first night.
Only cons: you need a potato peeler and masher for your kitchen to be complete.
We all had problems getting out oc the steep part of the druveway. Suggestion: may e asphalt that steep hill, at least toeards the top.
We did use ypur neighbors to get out the last day. Hope he did.not mind.
The cabin ‘s location is ideal for exploring the Ellijay area . We really enjoyed relaxing on the porch listening to the water flow. The hosts provided so many wonderful and thoughtful touches. It really is a magical place Don’t miss the fairy garden in the stump by the stream .
The cabin is amazing. Very clean and cozy. Listening to the babbling water made for peaceful sleep. When Contacting Kathy she responded quickly. Wonderful experience and hope to return again soon.
I have to say this is the most stunning, private and peaceful cabin that I have ever stayed in. The access was easy. The accommodations were fully stocked and the cabin is right on the creek/stream. The views are absolutely breathtaking. By far. This is one of the best rentals I have ever stayed at!
No other way to describe this wonderful cabin...it is truly your gateway to a heavenly place. The cabin faces the Tickanetly Creek which has clear rushing water with deep holes where trout hide. The screen in porch was our favorite resting place. Inside, whatever supplies you want are available. The furniture is very comfortable. The master BR overlooks the creek offering a white noise throughout the night. Privacy abounds. This property must have 500 or more feet of creek frontage. All is quiet with absolutely no traffic noise. My wife and i have stayed in numerous beach and mountain rentals for the past 45 years. No doubt, this cozy creekside(more like a stream to me) ranks in the top 5. Finally, the owner is first class with special touches that will make you feel welcomed.
Very quiet with nothing but the sounds of the rushing mountain steam. At night we turned off the AC and went to sleep, listening the sounds of the rushing water and enjoying the cool mountain air. Lovely setting, well appointed, and a very lovely place. Best fishing early, with water shoes and/or waders recommended.
Cabin was very secluded so it’d be a good idea to have a 4WD vehicle (which I do so no issue but for anyone else). Wifi works great at night but hit or miss during the day. Cabin is very nice and relaxing especially right on the creek/river. Everything you’d possible need is there and the host responds and communicates well. Plenty of dishes and cooking materials vs other cabins I’ve stayed in which was great to not have to wash the one pan over and over. Cabin was very comfortable and homey and again sitting on the porch listening to the river all day was great.
Excellent place, location and property management / owner. Everyone enjoyed their stay and we will certainly be back again.

We work and live in a community that has a lot of hustle and bustle and were looking for a place to get away. We purchased this property sight unseen other than a video from our Realtor. The sound of the creek sold my husband and the beauty of the log cabin sold me. We have been blessed with this beautiful place and enjoy sharing it with others.
What makes this property unique
This property is in just the right location. Far enough out to be in the woods and enjoy wildlife, but yet, close enough for shopping, hiking water falls, mountain views, apple barns, wineries and water sports. The Tickanetley Creek is full of trout! Sit on the porch or open the doors and listen to the water all day and night. The cabin is fully furnished including a complete kitchen with dishes and pots and pans. There’s also a washer and dryer. As the owner I clean the cabin myself. It’s very clean!
