Riverbend Retreat - New River frontage, hot tub, pool table!

Looking to spend a few days in the North Carolina mountains and have as much fun as possible? Look no further! This beautiful four bedroom home offers it all... River frontage, hot tub, fire pit and game room! Located off of the infamous Railroad Grade Road, this property is truly perfect for a family getaway or friends weekend!

*IMPROVED RIVER ACCESS AS OF 2025 - After Hurricane Helene reshaped the New River's landscape, significant improvements were made to the river bank, greatly enhancing access to the water. Please see gallery for more details.

The living room features beautiful hard wood flooring, a gas-log fireplace, flat screen TV with surround sound and cozy furniture! The nearby kitchen is well stocked for your nights spent at home cooking for the family. There is enough room at the dining table to hold 6 people. The master bedroom is on the main level and features a king size bed with an ensuite bathroom. There are three other bedrooms on the upper level, two of which have queen beds. The other bedroom features custom log style bunk beds.
One is a twin-over-queen bunk and the second is a twin-over-twin bunk, perfect room for kids! There are two full bathrooms on the upper level.

The lower level of the home features an epic game room with a pool table, foosball table, air hockey, basketball, and a flat screen TV! Open the garage door on a warm sunny day and get ready for an adventure-packed afternoon! Please take good care of the equipment and return to game room when you are done.

We expect most of your time spent at Riverbend Retreat will be spent outdoors. There is a huge flat yard that offers plenty of space for yard games! Enjoy an by the fire pit as you listen to the sound of the flowing river near by. Feel free to bring fishing rods (NC Fishing License required), canoes, kayaks, or tubes and get ready to enjoy the day. There is so much fun to be had at Riverbend Retreat!

ADDITIONAL NOTES:
- All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided
- Check in is after 4pm and check out is by 10am
- Must electronically sign an additional Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions and any Neighborhood Rules sent by Host (property manager) or entry information cannot be sent.
- Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates.
- No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home.
- Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook.
- No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable.
- 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows. No refunds, allowances, or date changes will be given to travelers who are not prepared with the proper vehicle, as outlined in the Rental Agreement.
- Driveway capacity is limited to 4 vehicles. Due to presence of adjacent buried well and septic lines, no driving off the driveway or parking in the grass is permitted. Owners have added an overflow gravel parking space on the left just before you reach the house.
- This property has one exterior security camera mounted to the right side of the house above the porch viewing the river to monitor river levels. No cameras are pointing at the home itself.
- Firewood may be purchased at the time of booking or with a week's notice. You receive two wrapped, kiln-dried bundles and a firestarter for $25 plus tax.

Please note that this property absolutely does not permit pets anywhere in or on the premises at any time including outdoor spaces. Bona fide service animals as prescribed by a medical professional may be permitted, and the presence of a service animal must be disclosed prior to check-in. Misrepresenting a pet as a service animal is a crime under North Carolina law. Guests who bring a pet to a no-pet home will be subject to a non-refundable $750 fee to reimburse the owner for wrongful use of their home as well as compensate for removing pet hair and dander and clean carpets and upholstery.
If any pets are discovered during your tenancy including via security camera or observation of neighbors or BRMR staff, your credit card on file will be charged for the above-mentioned fee.
- Please note that the distances shown on VRBO's map feature are measured in a straight line rather than actual road travel distances and times. We cannot change their setting for this, and encourage all guests to independently verify distances to desired destinations.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Bookings canceled 60+ days before arrival will receive a refund of the deposit.
Bookings canceled within 59 days of the arrival are not entitled to a refund unless the reservation dates are rebooked to another guest.
All bookings are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.
