Delightful Apartment Complete in Everyway
I had the pleasure to stay here for approximately 9 days. It’s a short drive to Konstanz, Mainau, Reichenfeld and the Swiss border - an excellent location to launch any day trip. The village is quiet, clean and home to a cloister which provides schooling, medical attention and well-being for their guests.
The apartment is generous in size, immaculate, and I was pleasantly surprised that the kitchen is fully outfitted right down to oils, vinegar and spices. There are nearby walking trails and approximately 1 KM away is the train stop. Very convenient if you choose not to drive.
For the basics - groceries, benzine, beverages - the surrounding towns have lots of options. This apartment is a place to go home to so be sure to be outfitted before arriving.
I would definitely recommend this Apartment. The owner, Daniella, is quick to communicate and she offered a lovely apartment for this vacationing American.
A nice, bright and quiet apartment! My kids loved the bunk beds and movie collection. Easy walk to the train station or to the lakeshore where there is a playground, food, and boat rentals. We had a great stay.
Cosy and wonderful
We had the pleasure of spending 3 nights at this cute apartment, although small in it's size everything was there to make our family of 2 parents and 3 children (10,6,1.5) feel at home. Location was perfect for visiting the Konstanz area.
Weiter so :)
Location & connection
Whether you are cycling on the Lake Constance Cycle Path, want to spend your beach holiday with the family in the Hegne beach or are interested in the rich culture of our region, the sun soul is an excellent starting point for your activities.
Because here you can enjoy not only direct connection to the regional train Seehas, which runs every 30 minutes between Singen, Radolfzell and Constance, but also to the Lake Constance cycle path and the extensive hiking trails of the Bodanrück. The bus stop for line 7354 Radolfzell-Allensbach-Konstanz is only 100 meters away from the sun soul.
By the tourist tax of the municipality of Allensbach you can get a free ride on the bus and train in the entire district of Konstanz. So you can easily plan your trips to Constance, Radolfzell, Singen, Überlingen and even to Stein am Rhein from the sun soul.
Exceptional cultural region
Located within sight of the Reichenau monastery and vegetable island, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the sun soul invites you to an extensive cultural holiday on Lake Constance. You can easily reach the island of Reichenau by ferry from the Allensbach ferry pier.
But also the detour to the nearby `Bodensee-Künstlerwinkel´, the Höri peninsula, enchants you with the excellently preserved castle town of Stein am Rhein, the mystical monastery island of Werd, the workplaces of Otto Dix and Herrmann Hesse and the picturesque sea communities of Gaienhofen, Moos and Öhningen ,
As the cultural city of the Lake Constance region, Constance also welcomes you with a colorful bouquet of holiday experiences: shopping, window shopping, galleries, museums, such as the Archaeological State Museum, the Rosgarten Museum and the Jan Hus Memorial, the historic council during the 600th anniversary in 2014 -2018 and a variety of cultural events lure in the Bodensee capital.
Famous for the prehistoric dwellings that can be found in the shallow riverside areas of the lake, the Lake Constance region also invites you on a journey through time to the Unteruhldingen pile dwellings, which are also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Here the life and architecture of the first Bodensee settlers was impressively traced.
Lake Constance adventure region
Not far from the sun soul, immerse yourself in the scent of a thousand rose petals on the famous flower island of Mainau and enjoy a wonderful view over the lake. Then the Mainau adventure forest challenges you to brave climbing games through the tree tops.
The monkey mountain in Salem is also an experience of a special kind, where you can observe the wild barbary macaques up close and feed them yourself. Directly in Allensbach, the Allensbach wildlife and leisure park with bears, lynxes, games and adventure offers also welcomes you for a family outing. The Swiss amusement park Conny-Land, on the other hand, is a bit more turbulent.
From Constance there is also a catamaran to the Zeppelin town of Friedrichshafen and a car ferry to Meersburg.
Wellness & wellbeing
The Bodenseethermen of Constance, Meersburg and Überlingen are making a name for themselves as a 'spa trio'. Located directly on the lakeshore, immerse yourself in pleasantly warm floods and enjoy some exotic infusion rituals in the sauna oases with a lake view.
You can also experience direct lake access in the extensive sauna oasis `bora bora´ in Radolfzell. And the well-being and health center in Hegne, which is located in the immediate vicinity of the sun soul, takes care of the massage and foot care in between. Winter holidays in the sun soul are also really fun!
Your journey to the sun soul with ...
... the car
The Allensbach district of Hegne has a direct connection to the B 33, which merges with the A 81 at Singen. In Hegne, both the street `Im Tal´ and Konradistraße lead directly to the monastery Hegne, on the north side of which the street` Zum Schwarzenberg´ opens the only south access to the actual village. After 20 meters the street "Zur Halde" branches off.
Via the railway junction Radolfzell, train travelers have access to the regional train Seehas, which runs every 30 minutes towards Constance. The Hegne train station is around 800 meters from the sun soul. A footpath connects the village with the train station.
Konstanz is a stop for long-distance bus lines. From here, bus travelers can either take the Seehas train or the 7354 Radolfzell-Allensbach-Konstanz bus directly to Hegne.
... the bike
Hegne is located directly on the Bodenseerundweg. Bicycles can be parked on the covered terrace or on the parking space.
