Living room has a flat screen smart tv. so you can sign into all your favorite apps, WIFI, and a video library, Master bedroom is furnished with a queen size log bed and sitting area. Cozy loft sleeps 4 with 2 double beds. Step out onto a large deck to experience the sights and sounds of natural surroundings. Lake Sutherland offers fishing, boating and jet skiing.

Spring break hiking trip

We had a great stay and enjoyed the location, view, comfy beds and cozy blankets. My teens said it's the best VRBO we have stayed at so far!

Family vacation!

Our family of five had a wonderful stay. We were visiting from Virginia. The house had everything we needed. The kayaks were a nice touch, the kids love going out on the lake on the cool crisp mornings. The house was in a good central location for everything we wanted to do in Olympic National Park and Port Angeles. When you stay, make sure you keep an eye on the tide charts our low tide time was in the afternoon so we had travel time in the morning to the beaches to see starfish in the tide pools in the afternoon.

Beautiful spot

We so enjoyed our stay here. The place was well suited to enjoy quiet mornings on the deck lakeside, and to watch the sunsets. Close to trails and an easy drive to Port Angeles for groceries. Highly recommend.

Beautiful lake front cabin

Perfect for our family of four! The cabin has everything you need for a stay on Lake Sutherland. Our kids had a blast jumping off the dock and kayaking around the lake. We wish we would have booked more nights. Will definitely be back!

Olympic National Park Getaway

This property was perfect for my and my husband’s visit to Olympic National Park! The cabin itself is so cute and the lake is gorgeous. It was perfectly situated close to Port Angeles and as close as you can really get to all the best parts of the park. Would highly recommend to others!

Waterfront fun

Quaint waterfront cottage on a small street. Our family of 5 fit comfortably. Kayaks and fire pit available. Great views of the mountains and proximity to all things in the Olympic park.

Should be a best-kept secret!

This place was outstanding! We absolutely loved our time in this home. It was just perfect proximity to everything we wanted to see. And the owner, Cherrie, was incredible in answering all of my questions. My husband says this is his dream home!

Beautiful and tranquil

Close enough to stores and food experiences (can’t recommend granny’s cafe enough). Absolutely beautiful view and the cabin was so adorable. Definitely watch your step in some areas, especially upstairs but that’s cabin life! Only thing that was a bummer was checking in after 3pm and having to check out before 10. For long stays I could see this not being an issue but just having the weekend made us lose out on a lot of time at the cabin. Would definitely stay here again! :)

Beautiful Cabin

The cabin was amazing and had everything we needed and more. It was a great location to access Hurricane Ridge (1hr) and Hoh National Rainforest (2hrs). The view from the porch, encircled by the lake and trees, was so peaceful and beautiful. The fire pit was great to use at night. We couldn’t have hoped for a better stay and host.

Stunning location

This place was perfect. Google Maps didn't register the turnoff onto the road the first time we went, but we figured it out easily. The house is small but cozy and the porch and lake more than makes up for it. Honestly, if this host is ever thinking about selling, hit me up. Would love to go back or retire there.

Loved the lake!

I had planned a full itinerary to visit as many places as we could, but we got to the house on Lake Sutherland and I found I was happy to slow the pace to allow time to lounge on the deck. The house was a splurge for us (more than we had initially intended to spend) but I’m glad we did it. Cherrie (the host) was very responsive and helpful and we had no issues at the house. The location is great to visit Hurricane Hill, Lake Crescent, Sol Duc, and some of the other waterfalls in the area.

Gorgeous Views, Peaceful Stay, Great Location

My husband and I made our first trip to the PNW. We stayed at this lovely cabin on the lake. It is very well maintained, clean and well appointed. I believe it was the start of off-season when we stayed. It was very quiet in the mornings and evenings. We absolutely loved sitting on the upper deck/dock watching the sun come up over the lake and surrounding mountains, having coffee, and watching the clouds rolling through over the water. The fish were rolling in front of us. The upper and lower deck/docks are a definite selling point. We spent our days in Olympic National Park. This property is centrally located for the region of the park we visited. Port Angeles is also a short drive away for groceries and restaurants. We would absolutely rent this cabin again, and find some fishing poles next time!

Good location

Overall good location and family enjoyed it. Here is the summary . 5+ star for location 5+ star for ammenities 3 star noise ( neighbors did fireworks till 1am on july 5th/6th and impacted sleep quality).Sound reflect and got amplified. 3 star for cleaniness of towel ( didn't smell fresh) 3 star for online listing accuracy. This property doesn’t have dishwasher . It was late communication that if you leave dishes uncleaned there were extra cleaning charge . We ended up doing dishes with hands on vacation & birthday that we didn't do in last 20+ years at home on birthday( we have dishwasher all the time).

Great view, some challenges

The cabin was scrupulously clean and right on the water. But the description didn’t say that BOTH sleeping areas are up a flight of steep stairs, while the only bathroom is on the main floor. That arrangement is very hard for anyone with mobility issues or anyone who needs the bathroom in the middle of the night. Also the fireplace and the heater in the kitchen/dining area didn’t work, so the main floor rooms and floors were quite chilly. The upper outdoor deck was icy and very slippery (not the owners’ fault of course), so not useable. There is an outdoor fire ring but there was no wood to use. This might be a better place to stay in the warmer months when you can take advantage of the outdoor spaces like the deck and can paddle on the lake.

Our stay was awesome. The location is incredible. Very comfortable place. Centrally located to all Olympic national Park has to offer. The only downside, and it wasn't that big a deal, is the only bathroom is located downstairs from the master bedroom. A bit of a challenge for older folks. But we would stay again in a heartbeat

My Husband grew up coming to this lake house with his family. When we got married, I got to join in and we started creating so many memories with family, friends and always having so much fun.

When we had the opportunity to buy the property, we were so excited to make this a permeant part of our story and continue building amazing memories with family and friends.

Now getting to watch other families come from all over and enjoy the cabin & make memories is such an amazing thing to be a part of.
