This home is truly fantastic all around. The location on the lake is simply stunning, the views cannot be beat. The home was fully stocked with everything our group of four could ever need, including kitchen supplies, linens, movies and even lifejackets for use with the kayaks. The house itself is super cute and cozy with lots of fun details and very helpful labeling of lights, cabinets etc. Also communication with the host was seamless. We will definitely stay here again.

The lake property was beautiful. We stayed here to visit the national park. The house was stocked with plenty of cookware and dishes for the family . We didn’t have a chance to use the kayaks, but maybe next time .

Beautiful cozy spot on the lake. Perfect home away from home to explore Olympic! We enjoyed making a fire every night, cooking in the fully stocked kitchen and having our meals out in the lake view sunroom. Stunning views! Casey was a very responsive and attentive host! Highly recommend!

Hurricane ridge weekend

Weekend to go skiing at hurricane ridge with friends. Weather was horrible but having a nice house to come back to with a fireplace to dry the gear was very nice.

This beautiful cabin was perfect for our family trip that included 5 adults and a baby. This is three levels but not steep stairs and baby gates were provided as well as a highchair. Our baby was too small to enjoy the secret kids room but it would be great for Little's a bit older. The best was that all guest rooms had their own bathroom. The kitchen was well equipped and organized and has a fantastic gas range for the gourmet cook. The roomy main living area includes a kitchen table but you will definitely want to use the sunporch with gorgeous views of the dreamy lake. We enjoyed the use of kayaks in the mornings when the sun was just up. This is a very quiet neighborhood and it is important to respect the environment as I think many of the neighbors live there full time. I appreciate that the owner/manager was a great communicator. Location is a bit tricky to get to but follow the directions given in the rental communication and then it is easy after your first drive in. Port Angeles is near by and we also visited Sequim and Port Townsend, and had a great hike at Hurricane Ridge. Next time The Ho Rainforest is on our "To Do" list. This cabin is now one of our families very favorites!

Wonderful Retreat on the Lake

Host was very accommodating, and the house was simply the best!Due to unforeseen weather, we needed to move our trip up a day. This was not an issue, host was very responsive.The house itself is wonderful, located on the corner lot of a gated community. Very quiet and peaceful - but still tons to do! We loved taking the kayaks out for the day.

Awesome Lake House....

The home is situated on the lake and accessed via a secure gate. The space was comfortable for six adults and we enjoyed the large kitchen and spending time on the dock. We would stay here again.

Perfect location to explore Olympic National Park

We loved our stay on Lake Sutherland. It was the perfect location to explore beautiful Olympic National Park. We also enjoyed a couple of days at the cabin, taking advantage of the cozy wood stove, the kayaks and row boat, bbq, and sun porch. It has everything needed for a relaxing, magical stay on the lake.

Lake House Near Olympic National Park

Great lake house in a private gated community with a private lake swimming area. House is as described and in a great location near Olympic National Park. Great setup in backyard area with a private beach, fire pit, and plenty of kayaks and life jackets. House has the most up to date kitchen supplies and food available than any place we have every stayed. Would highly recommend.

A Lovely Place, Perfect for our Family

We enjoyed our stay here so much! The space is practically laid out for an extended family, and the extra bathrooms were so convenient. The kitchen was extremely well-stocked, and swimming dock, kayaks, and paddle boards made our stay that much more enjoyable. There is so much to do in this part of WA State, and this Lake Sutherland property was the perfect jumping off point. Thanks again; we'll be back!

Our family boasts four generations of Lake Sutherland living and we absolutely love this peaceful slice of heaven. Our boys represent the 4th generation and, though young, some of their most memorable life events have taken place at The Cabin. We have a family cabin across the lake that is special to us but we have always waited for an opportunity to purchase in Maple Grove for its excellent access and sun exposure. We jumped at this opportunity in 2019 and are excited to create even more memories while sharing our home with you all.

Why they chose this property

Tons of sun, great waterfront access, a boat launch, gated community and one of the best houses on the lake. Affectionately called our "cabin," you will find our home to be spacious, well appointed and stocked with every amenity you'll need while vacationing. Isn't it nice to not have to worry about what you're forgetting from home? Fully stocked kitchen, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, watercraft, BBQ and all the utensils necessary to create a home environment while on vacation. It's truly the best of both worlds when it comes to vacationing.

What makes this property unique

The largest waterfront lot in Maple Grove made possible by being on "Lot 1" which includes a seasonal creek and a natural spit built up over time by creek run-off. Take advantage of the half-moon beachfront, mature landscaping, boat-in/out dock access and the best views Lake Sutherland has to offer. Its southerly exposure guarantees sun all day long with no obstruction from trees, mountains or structures while affording you a private location on the lake.
