About this property

This beautiful cabin property borders the Smoky Mtn. National Park where you can enjoy the quiet tranquility of the mountains while relaxing by the fire pit. If you get tired of sitting outdoors on the multiple decks, move into the original log cabin living room where you can lounge by a wood-burning fireplace and play games, read a book or watch TV! The cabin is located about halfway up the mountain near Ober Mountain... and in bear country!

Windsong is privately managed and cleaned by owners who live nearby. It is as quiet as can be but is conveniently located near all the action...only 2 miles from downtown Gatlinburg! We're minutes away from the Gatlinburg Convention Center, Ober Gatlinburg ski slopes, Pigeon Forge & Dollywood. In downtown Gatlinburg you will also find Ripley's Aquarium, Anakeesta, Space Needle, SkyLift Park, stores, numerous restaurants, moonshine tasting, and loads of entertainment. Our renters also have access to the Chalet Village Member's Club outdoor pools, weight room, game room, tennis courts and more (open Memorial day to Labor day). On property we offer a horseshoe pit, corn hole and a pool table.

The cabin is a 3 bedroom/2 bathroom and comfortably sleeps 6, but can accommodate 8 on a sleeper sofa (1 king master, 2 queen beds, and new queen sleeper sofa) and is located in the city limits of Gatlinburg off of Ski Mountain Rd. In addition to the single car covered carport, the cabin can comfortably accommodate 2 additional cars. Two outdoor Ring cameras are used for security purposes only and cover carport area and fire pit area.

Quiet escape!

This place is clean, with everything you could need and plenty of space. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay comfortable. The view from the backyard is amazing. It’s so peaceful and quiet and a nice break from the town of Gatlinburg. It was the perfect place to relax after a long day of hiking. The drive up the mountain is a little steep but GPS takes you right to it and it’s worth it. We also saw a number of bears cut through the backyard on our last day which is something we’ll never forget! We would stay here again if coming back to the Smokies!

Splendid experience

We had a wonderful experience at Windsong! The owners have gone above and beyond with their level of detail to ensure you have everything you need and that it is organized and easy to use so that you can focus on your R&R. Firewood provided for both the outdoor firepit and indoor fireplace, quality kitchenware (not the cheap stuff you often seen at VRBOs), tastefully decorated cabin and a beautiful property were just some of the many great qualities about Windsong. Would definitely come back again!

clean, unique, and well-equipped

Our family of 5 enjoyed our stay at Windsong. Everything was super clean, the beds were comfortable, and the kitchen was well-stocked so that we were able to cook several meals there. We appreciated the thoughtful touches like USB chargers next to all the beds, a gas grill with a backup propane tank, and extra pillows and blankets. Our kids loved the pool table. The outdoor spaces are really nice, even if we didn't end up having much time to use them. The drive up the mountain is fairly intense, especially the first time. Get there in the daylight if you can for the first trip up. However, the proximity to Gatlinburg, while not being directly in the craziness of Gatlinburg, was great! The beautiful setting is also a huge plus.

Beautiful

We had a wonderful family trip to Gatlinburg and enjoyed our stay at Windsong. We could not have asked for more. We saw a bear family in the back yard, roasted marshmallows over the fire pit, took advantage of the beautiful and spacious accommodations. I would advise you to arrive before dark as the road to Windsong is steep and full of sharp curves.

Stacy grew up in Knoxville but spent her adult life in Atlanta, GA where she married Terry and raised one daughter, Danielle. Most all of our immediate family lives in Tennessee although we've traveled to 45+ countries in the world. Danielle has lived abroad most of her adult life, but Tennessee will always be home and the mountains are our first love.

We fell in love with the cabin as soon as we saw it! We love the privacy, serenity and the fact that our property borders the Smoky Mtn. National Park.
