The wharf cottage was the perfect place to stay for my wife and I to celebrate 25 years of marriage. This quaint fishing village provided great sights, sounds, and an incredible variety of fresh seafood to enjoy. Bradley was quick to respond for any questions we had and we look forward to our next visit to South Bristol.

This property literally sits on the harbor in South Bristol - on a dock. It is across the street from a lobster pound and there is restaurant within a quarter mile walk for breakfasts and lunches. The property is filled with charming mementos and furnishings at every turn along with guides and maps of the area. As a grandparent, I recognize that I would have spent my time taking things out of my curious grandchildren's’ hands. If you do not feel comfortable navigating a spiral staircase, you will have to use an outside staircase to get to the second floor where the kitchen and living room are. (The bedroom and the bathroom are on the first floor.)All that being said, if you want to experience a working waterfront in a small town on the Maine coast, this is the place for you. We loved it and are already planning a return trip.

This property was exceptionally clean and quite comfortable. Check-in was easy and Brad, the host provided everything needed for a comfortable stay. My husband and I enjoyed the location, which allowed us to explore a part of Maine which was new to us, and very interesting and enjoyable. The views from the second floor were spectacular! My only negative comment relates to the noise level in the mornings. The property is located on a wharf across the street from a working marina and fish market, which is very busy in the mornings. Fortunately, it was quiet in the evenings. We enjoyed our stay at this unique property.
