Karene was an excellent Host with great communication for all my pre-arrival questions. She also greeted us on arrival and kept in contact during our stay.La Grange Paccaly is a third floor walk-up of an extremely old building; it is authentic and rustic with very low doorways and chunky beams in awkward places. I bumped my head quite a few times! Photographs, as we know are often misleading and perhaps the size of the apartment is smaller than I was expecting, but my group of 8 loved it, we had plenty of space and facility. Some rooms can star gaze through the roof windows above the bed.If guests are looking for elevator access, shiny and new with ensuite bathrooms, this is not the place for them. If looking for something we don't have at home; beautiful rustic old bones, this hits the mark. It would benefit an extra WC but it's not possible and therefore that's the compromise. It is a beautifully curated home from home experience, with all the amenity you might require.La Clusaz is a pretty and vibrant town suiting both skier and non-skier. The apartment is super central to all facilities including ski access, but as such there is night-time noise; it didn't bother us. The Lift System is antiquated but we found enough fun skiing to suit our experienced group including an easy free ski bus to La Grand Bornand for a day. La Grange Paccaly is a great place for families or close familiar friends who don't mind sharing. Highly recommended!
