-Listing was inaccurate; it says there is a hot tub on site but there is not. -Whole house smells like mildew. -The cleaner was still working at our check in time and we had to wait for 2 hours in our car before they had the place clean. -The host messaged me mid stay telling (not asking) that “someone needed access to the property” while we were out. I asked what was being repaired (obviously some repairs cannot wait, maintenance has to be scheduled, etc.) and the host told me it was a realtor showing the property to groups of prospective buyers. Absolutely not. -Upon check out the host hit me with a few bogus charges (broken coffee pot, no one in my group drinks coffee or touched the machine). -AVOID. Not worth whatever cheaper cost, you’ll get burned. -first bad review I’ve ever left. First time it was ever warranted.
Our host Patrick was very responsive to our needs. The condo is well equipped with kitchen and bathroom supplies. There are lots of beach items available. The configuration of the bedrooms upstairs is a little awkward but doable for people that are not too concerned about absolute privacy. The location is excellent, parking no problem. There is a new washer and dryer. We had a great time.
We enjoyed our stay. We started out with 8 bath towels and only 4 beach towels. We left behind 4 beach towels we purchased. The washer needs repair. In the spin cycle it sounds like a jet engine and is very loud. The toaster does not work. The electrical system is somewhat sketchy, the lights flickering at times. A vacuum cleaner would have been helpful. We enjoyed using the boogey boards and chairs, thank you. We like the host, we have rented for three weeks over the past three months and he has always been helpful.
The place was a great for a small group and was cozy and comfortable. The only thing it was missing some of the normal rental staples like sugar, salt, bowls larger than for salad and could use a bit of a TLC but overall would stay again!

Happy you enjoyed it. We will restock some items there.
Great stay for our large family of 7. It was warm with no AC (yes I know AC is not advertised) but the fans helped out. Did see a couple of bugs here and there but not too bad. Grateful we had enough beds and a crib for our toddler. Thanks for hosting!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It accommodated 9 people well. The location was beautiful. We loved the to lush outdoor space and our kids enjoyed the pool. We also appreciated the very reasonable price. We did have some issues upon check-in. The key was not in the lock box when we arrived. It was quite late in the evening and our kids were exhausted. We ended up getting into the property though the back door that had been left open which was concerning. We were able to get in contact with the host relatively quickly and a cleaning crew member brought a key shortly after we got in the back door. Our biggest problem was the cleanliness of the property. The kitchen, bathroom, dining, and living rooms were relatively clean. However, when we went to go to bed on the first night of our stay, we found dirty sheets on the beds. There was sand and fingernail clippings in the beds. There also wasn't enough spare bedding for the futons in the living room or for us to change the dirty sheets. It was very frustrating after a very long day of travel to crawl into a filthy bed. Because it was so very late by the time we got to bed we weren't able to get clean sheets that night. The property owner was very responsive the next morning and did apologize for the dirty sheets and provided us with clean sheets, extra towels, and bottle of wine. Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed our stay. We found the host very responsive, but were disappointed in the cleanliness.
Stayed in this area last year for a little higher price..well worth what they are charging for the area. Upstairs was interesting in the layout but still workable...id stay again..

Thank you Paul for being a great guests and welcome back any time.
Its location in north shore, close to a lot of great beaches on Kauai. It’s an old property but has all the basic needs for a nice family holiday. Owner was responsive but was more quiet during Easter, which was understandable. I’d recommend it.
Patrick and his wife are fantastic hosts and took great care of us! We are so grateful and would work with them again immediately on a future visit. The property is super and very comfortable, and the location is great. There is conflicting info on the VRBO listing about check-in at 3 pm and 4 pm that needs adjustment.
We only stayed one night. I communicated with the owner about the issues we experienced so that he could be aware of broken /non working items. Hopefully he will fix the issues.

Good location. Furniture and decor was hodge-podge and dated. Unit did not have a/c.
Really enjoyed our stay here. The many beds made it very comfortable for our family. Although there is no AC there are lots of fans to easily be comfortable. I would suggest a few extra linens or blankets and towels be added to the unit, and a corkscrew for wine. We moved that there was ample snorkel and water shoes in the closet however only One snorkel had the clip to keep the valve upright and most fins were missing the back straps. Something easily replaced though with low cost. All in all we LOVED our stay and the beaches nearby! We will return!
For the money we payed it was good. We would have liked to have had a BBQ but the one their was small and rusted like something you camped with. Having to walk thru one bedroom to get to a another bedroom was not good. We made it work. The host was very helpful .
Clean & comfortable condo. Well supplied kitchen & bathrooms. Needs a little TLC. Patrick was approachable and answered my questions quickly & easily. Just a heads up that if travelling with children, not all condo residents are agreeable with happy noise of 4 kids in the pool- even at 6 PM.

Advertised Air and 3 Bedrooms
No air conditioning. Only two bedrooms. Poor son and daughter-in-law had to share room with younger sister. Complained to VRBO, did nothing!

The condo is as listed and has the number of bedrooms and beds as described. The review is a blatant lie. Never heard from Vrbo. Doubt this guest complained at all because she never complained until I asked her to pay for damage. One of the bedrooms is a Japanese style bedroom. There is no AC advertised. AC is not normally needed as there are strong cool breezes during most of the year. Guest never complained until I charged them for damage. Refused to pay for damage. I would definitely not want to have this guest again. Never said a word for a week and only complained when I asked to pay for damage.
So be aware, this unit has no AC, which isn’t a necessity, however the poor quality windows inDirect sunlight just heat the place like an oven, with every window open and every fan, we could never get it cooler than 83. Lots of maintenance needed, oven door don’t open it, you won’t be able to close it again, roaches under dryer and dishwasher, ants all over lower bedroom, screen door on upper balcony won’t open. TV has some ghosting issue very annoying to watch. Disappointing stay based on the rate per night and expectations for this area.
We loved the condo. We had plenty of room for 6 adults. We had plenty of oscillating fans to sleep comfortably. The kitchen was well stocked with all we needed. We didn’t walk down to the beach near the condo. The hill looked to dangerous for me. So we drove to Anini Beach only about two miles down the road. The water was so calm and crystal clear. The only down side to staying in Princeville was the distance we had to drive to get to places we wanted to visit. This was the third time my husband and I had visited this island but we brought friends and family with us on this visit. We wanted them to see all the wonderful things we’ve already seen. We spent a lot of time driving.

The property listing inaccurate
Pictures of the property on VRBO site not consistsnt with property we were given. I took pictures should VRBO care to compare and contrast. Multiple examples. One example were coaches were actually futons that converted into beds but there was no bedding that fit the futons. There was one set of twin sheets and one extra pillow but no blankets. The futons required full size sheets. I contacted renter who responded but he referenced the twin sheets as his solution. I had to go out and buy bedding so we could use the futon. Very disappointed.
This condo had all the amenities most (non bougee) families would want. Two private bathrooms, full kitchen, washer dryer. We felt safe and secure in this quiet neighbourhood. The main downstairs bedroom has the ensuite in the room. The main room is completely private. Upstairs is “the loft” one king size bed and a cot. There’s an Asian style sliding door into another area with a king size bed. No real privacy for anyone sleeping in the loft area. There is a bathroom up in “the loft” area; toilet and shower are private, sink is open concept. This would work well for families & friends who are comfortable around each other. Downstairs the couches fold down into double size beds. The kitchen is a modge podge of plates, cutlery ect. Bonus there’s an espresso machine!! No kayak but there is boogie boards and pool noodles. 8 plug in fans. The bathrooms and kitchen cabinets could use a good deep clean in the nooks & crannies otherwise good enough. 10 minute steep walk to gorgeous Anini beach. The grounds of the complex are well kept, beautiful & clean. Owner and cleaning staff are very approachable and helpful. We would stay here again!
