Muletown’s Retreat
Muletown’s Retreat is in a quaint well established neighborhood and a hop skip and a jump from the heart of Muletown’s downtown district. Walking distance to many Restaurants, Hangouts, Antique shops, Coffee Shops, Breweries, Wine tasting, Boutiques, Bars and other unique shops and even a Church. First Friday’s the downtown has food trucks and the local downtown businesses stay open later. The farmers market is right around the corner for fresh veggies. There is a splash pad that the kiddos love within walking distance. An outdoor fitness area also is the perfect way to get in a nice workout right around the corner. There is an entrance to Riverwalk at the end of the street and a nice place for a leisurely stroll or a great place to walk Fido. There are many little paths and entrances to fishing holes. Frank’s shop has fishing passes and live bait to use with the fishing poles and cooler provided by Muletown’s Riverside Retreat. Get some snacks have a picnic and try some fishing for the day. Online fishing permits / passes are available with a smart phone. The property has a charm all its own with a retro feel while remaining a nice Retreat from it all. The small privacy fenced back yard hangout is my favorite place to unwind. We have a picnic grill and a one of a kind fence bar out back. There are smart tvs in all the bedrooms and the living room and recreation room with YouTube tv, Netflix all waiting for you. Pool table , mini fridge and lots of board games all found in the recreation room. Take the cornhole boards out and enjoy some down home fun! We have provided a couple of bicycles for you to cruise the neighborhood or downtown area or load up and enjoy biking and hiking trails nearby. You will find many accommodations throughout this little retreat walking distance to the up and coming Muletown’s square.

Beautiful space! Playful room downstairs and comfy peaceful room upstairs. The most clean rental I have ever seen! Pet friendly but you would never guess a pet had visited prior to your arrival. I recommend to any traveler in the area and if I need to come through the area again I will definitely rebook.
We stopped here for a couple nights on our way to Florida. The property was just as described. Had some rainy weather while we were here, so loved the pool table and great selection of board games. Short walk to park, downtown, shops and restaurants. Had everything we needed. Very cute, clean and cozy.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Mercedes was a wonderful host. The home was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed and more! The house was in a quiet neighborhood, and close enough to grocery stores, gas, and various restaurants. I would recommend this VRBO to anyone!
Very vintage-cool, comfortable property with thoughtful touches and delightfully stylish decor. Our teens loved the rec room, and we loved the upstairs sitting area and bedrooms that you don't want to leave. We only stayed one night as we were passing through, but would love to further explore Columbia someday.
We had a great visit to Columbia. The home was clean and calm. We laughed so much playing pool. Our dog enjoyed the park just down the street. The bed were comfortable. Communication was easy with the host. We would definitely stay again.
Just a quick in and out. The property is driving close to downtown, or walking in non rainy weather. The gameroom downstairs is a great intro to the simple property, the upstairs is detailed and cute. We all loved the whole ambience. The place is clean and has wonderful smells, vibes.
We had a great stay in Columbia, TN! The dogs next door were a bit barky at night which was a bit annoying. We were provided some deterrents, unfortunately they weren't too successful.
Enjoyed our stay. We were mostly out during the day. Pool cues didn’t have tips on them so that was a bummer, but honestly there’s not enough room to really shoot pool around the table. It wasn’t a big deal to us, though.
Good space! This place is very cozy and clean! All the little amenities made the difference! The beds were comfortable and the rec room had a very nostalgic feel, very fun hang space!
Awesome location, very close to downtown and nearby park for walking!
We did not use the outdoor space due to weather and it being muddy. There is not an ideal space for pets outside especially with the neighbors dogs, but again, park is waking distance!
Great stay and very kind owner!
Super cute property. Love the decor very comfortable beds. Great location to walk to Columbus Square.
One sidenote, iwe brought our puppies and the house directly behind this property has four or five large aggressive dogs that are out all night. If you’re bringing your dog and they are skittish, just be aware. This is no reflection on the owner and completely out of her control. I just thought it was worth mentioning.

From the stairwell up, the 2nd floor has all of the attributes of a vintage 1940's cottage...hardwood floors, stained wood staircase railing, intricate trim around doors windows and floor. Old brass door hardware and knobs...hinges need stripped of paint to complement the doors..even the ancient, retired now, electric wall heater have thier old charm and remind me of the1940's bygone days...there are several modern led filament type light bulbs which provide a warm glow but there are 3 led bulbs in livingroom ceiling fan that belong in an opaque fixture...
All kinds of cooking spices and condiments are in the cottage kitchen...but to warm your bagel, donut or whatnot you have to decend the stairs to the rec room to find the microwave...
The shiny Kracken that lives in the rec room was a surprise...as was the half bath...which we had more time to utilize
My companion does not like microfiber sheets nor do I and she also discovered this a.m. there is no 110v outlet in jack n jill bathroom...
Everything was great except for the dogs behind the property bark all day and all night. Cant walk your dogs without them trying to come thru the fence. And the outside fenced in area definitely needs some attention. Other than that everything was good.
Cute and cozy house in a sweet little neighborhood. Loved our stay. The only drawback for us was that the common living spaces were tight for the 5 of us, but we made it work and enjoyed our stay.
