About Holly Brown
Hi! We are the Browns and we bought our 32 acre farm in 2017. We were looking for a place to escape the rat race and not only did we find what we were looking for, but we found a place we can share with others who are looking to get away for a couple of days of relaxation and connecting with each other.

Why Holly Brown chose Columbia
This farm was first settled in 1808-1812. The land was part of a much larger parcel that was gifted to Colonel Grant from George Washington himself as a thank you for his leadership in the Revolutionary War. Grant's family in turn sold the property to settlers from SC (Armstrong family). We are not sure when the main house and side cabin were built, but we know it was somewhere between 1812-1889. The Armstrongs eventually sold the property to Dr. George who without question was the most notable and loved livestock veterinarian in Maury County. This property quickly became known all over town as the George farm. Dr. George passed away a few years ago and he was sick for many years before that so the farm unfortunately fell into a bit of disarray. But one look at this property and we fell in love--in love with the history and what it was and the potential for what it could be again. We are in the process of updating and repairing this into a working hobby farm. A place for stressed out people to enjoy a stress free weekend, to connect with each other, nature and God. We invite you to come join us on our farm journey and hope your stay here will make your journey a little more pleasant along the way.
What makes this Cabin unique
If you are looking for a place close enough to all the wonderful things Nashville, Franklin and Columbia have to offer but you want to stay on a nostalgic Tennessee farm, this is your place. Enjoy the best of the best: The city life when you want it and the countryside when you just want to get away. The cabin has been updated with new heating and a/c, new windows, and new gas logs, but we have done our best not to lose an ounce of the old farm style that makes it wonderfully charming. We have just welcomed our first horse to the farm, little miss Dixie. She would love to say hi when you're here. We also have 2 bunnies and 2 golden doodles who are loving farm life as well.

Best lil cabin in Tenn.
What a sweet cabin on beautiful land with a generously sweet host family. There’s a choice of 3 unique cabins/homes to stay on Muletown Farm, the 1800’s cabin my stay was in was beautifully updated, appointed and comfortable. The others look amazing as well. I’m already planning my next visit.
welcoming property with fantastic views
My friend and I really enjoyed this gorgeous property. The owners were so welcoming, responsive and kind. We felt as if we were going back in time with this rustic cabin. Our favorite times were sitting outside on the porch, around the fire, hiking on site, chatting with the owner's and their family. We also loved having the fireplace as the weather was cold. Thank you for your hospitality!
Serenity on the Farm
It's a lovely property and we enjoyed our stay.
Incredible little cabin
My wife and I had an amazing stay at this property. The cabin is decorated extremely well, the amenities are fantastic, and the charm is indescribable. Hope to stay again very soon!
Nice quiet getaway
We loved staying in the cabin and enjoying the home like atmosphere. Quite welcoming!
Peaceful farm vacation
We had such a great time staying in the cabin on this lovely farm! Coming from a more urban environment, it was a great change of pace. My kids enjoyed seeing the horse and dogs. Holly was so kind to let my daughter play and hold puppies which was her favorite part of our trip.
Stores and restaurants were about 5-10 minutes away and it was an hour to Nashville.
The cabin was very clean and cozy. Air conditioning was great on hot days. The fridge was small but adequate except for limited freezer which did not freeze cooler ice packs.
The scenery of the farm is wonderful and the owners are so kind and welcoming! We would definitely stay here again!
