Perfect Cottage, Perfect Location, Perfect Beach!

East of Eden is the perfect cottage for a romantic getaway or a fun-filled family vacation--in all seasons. The cottage has been impeccably restored and has it own private yard. It is a large one-bedroom, with well-equipped kitchen, full bathroom, and a beautiful open air living room with vaulted ceiling and skylights. After a beautiful sunset over Lake Michigan, come back and snuggle up with a good book next to the fireplace.

Inside and out, our cottage is the perfect retreat. Nestled amoung 100-foot tall Norway Spruce pines, it is only a block to your own private 'singing sands' beach of Lake Michigan. Union Pier beaches are the softest and widest in SW Michigan! And, it is only a block and a half to great little bakery and breakfast places, coffee and latte shops, unique restaurants and even fine dining. Or you can just stay at the cottage, sit on the front deck, grill your own favorite fare and watch the passer's by.

We are centrally located in the heart of Union Pier just off of the main road into town. Easy to get to, and easy to go to other attractions such as the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore, various seasonal Art Fairs, Fruit Farms, Antiquing, or just 'Heading up the Red Arrow Highway'.

**Please note that we do have a 2 night minimum, however in the high summer season we rent mostly for one week increments from Saturday to Saturday. We do try to accommodate as many people as we can. Sometimes in the early weeks or later weeks in the summer we can accommodate less than 7 nights. Please don't hesitate to inquire if we can. Thank you.

This is a great cottage. It was our second time staying there. The walk to the beach is short, the other neighbors have always been quiet and nice. It's a great location, close to the beach and in a very walkable and bikeable neighborhood.

Very nice place

Great location!

East of Eden is a quaint cottage that is within 3-4 minute walk to the lake. Walkable you’re cafes and markets and the cottage itself is clean and comfy. Overall we had a great stay!

Perfect location!

This is a great property for a couple and very close to the beach. The owners are wonderful and the directions in and about the property are laid out clearly. We ate at the Red Arrow Roadhouse both nights and it was really great! So was Mario's Pizza!

Great location!

Husband and I stayed here for a long weekend. It’s a cute little cottage, has everything you need. But the best part is the 5-10 minute walk to places like Tapa Taco and Black Currant Bakehouse. The beach has quite a few stairs down but the walk from the cottage is very reasonable and pleasant.

Summer Getaway

This the perfect property for a couple’s vacation at an affordable rate. It was such a bonus to be able to bring our dog. The location is perfect. It is close to everything and a block from the beach. The beaches are some of the prettiest in Michigan.

Clean, tidy and close to everything.

Really has everything one needs. Nice to have beach chairs there and the wagon to haul things. Nothing fancy but everything you need. Location was great!

The Perfect Getaway

Cute little getaway!

The cottage is very cute. Check in instructions are very thorough and go through all the various aspects on how to use everything in the cottage. Easy walk to two public beaches and easy walk to multiple food and market options.
