Welcome to the High County mountain cabin in Franklin N.C. Located 10 min. to town at the foothills of the Smokey Mountains .Dillsboro, Sylvia, Bryson City, Cherokee and Helen G.A. all with in 45min. Cabin has lodge décor with 1 Queen bed, full bath, kitchen and Livingroom. Air mattress available . Kids can also camp in the Livingroom with sleeping bags. We provide all house hold items and linens so just bring your bag for a fabulous getaway!

We have stayed in various properties here and always love it. It is beyond clean, and just a restful, peaceful place. It is plenty warm in the winter, beautiful in the fall, and plenty cool in the summer with the great heat and a/c. It's nothing fancy, just cozy and relaxing and the response of the hosts is excellent. We love to have breakfast in and the kitchen provides all we need, plus there are condiments and foods left by other guests that make it so easy! We go at least twice a year to this area and this will always be "our spot" to land when visiting family there.

We have stayed here several times, and it never disappoints. Clean, cozy, and comfortable. Kitchen has everything we need, and the bed is very comfortable. Quiet neighborhood and very convenient to downtown Franklin. Highly recommend!

We had an absolutely fabulous stay. Admittedly, we arrived late in the night and had a bit of trouble finding our exact cabin to stay in. But the host was extremely gracious and took the time to make sure we got to the right spot. They were friendly and communicative and we felt right at home once we arrived. It’s a wonderful little cabin and we would definitely stay again in the future.

It was super easy and low key. But, the cabin was dark and smelled like it had been cleaned with a rancid mop. The bed was not comfortable, even for Mr 8-year-old Granddaughter. Neither of us slept well the 3 nights we stayed - we left a night early because we just couldn’t bear another sleepless night.

The cabin was clean but the towels smelled of mildew. The coffee maker was terrible, need to get a better one. The propane tank for the grill was empty so we could not grill as we planned. Guests should not have to pay for a refill tank especially if you are only staying a few days. Perhaps a charcol grill would be a better option.

This is our go-to place to stay in the Franklin area. The cabins are cozy and very adequate especially for the price. We have stayed there three times now it will always be the first place we recommend. The cabins are suitable for a family of four or less though there is a larger cabin that could probably take a larger family.The cabins are always clean when we check in. The two cabins we have stayed in include a small kitchenet with the utensils/equipment available that is suitable for making simple meals and serving 2-4 people. This cabin had a covered area with a propane grill, picnic table, swing, and lounging chairs and it was great to sit outside and enjoy the mild weather there.
