About this property

Spacious Loft on 130-acre Scenic Property in Weber Canyon

Located on the Deer Hill Expeditions Basecamp, our spacious Loft is used by guests and participants of Deer Hill programming in the summer but enjoyed by many throughout the off-season. We operate wilderness expeditions for youth from March-October, which leaves gaps throughout the rest of the year when our facility is not in use.

The Loft is Deer Hill’s premier lodging option. Located on the second floor of a building erected in 2015, The Loft includes 6 bedrooms, each with two twin beds, 4 bathrooms, a central living room area, dining area, and an expansive kitchen including a full-sized refrigerator and range, microwave, coffee maker, and plenty of counter space to prepare meals. Guests enter The Loft by ascending a staircase with handcrafted rails made of repurposed steel to a porch with views of Mesa Verde, Deer Hill’s pond, and the sunset over the Mancos Valley.

Perfect Basecamp!

We brought a group of 10 people and rode mountain bikes at 3 different locations while using this home as a wonderful basecamp! Plenty of space, beds, bathrooms, showers, common area and dining area. Thank you!

Wonderful time

An overall amazing experience, we enjoyed waking up to such a beautiful view and being so close to nature. It accommodated both of our big families which was great. It was the perfect place to be able to explore what Mancos and Durango had to offer, lots of unforgettable memories were made here !

New Years 2022

We wanted to stay close to Durango so that 5 in our group could go snowboarding and the others could go shoping. We arrived on New Year's eve and were all very pleased with the location. The Loft was very clean and had everything to accomodate all of us. We brought in the New Year eating, playing games and laughing. The younger ones in our group enjoyed playing outside in the snow. The next morning they went snowbording @ Hesperus Ski. We would definately recommend the Loft to others.

Wonderful winter vacation!

We really enjoyed our stay at this Mancos property. There was plenty of room for all 13 of us. The kids enjoyed it so much they didn’t even ask for a phone or tablet. They loved walking around outside and exploring the property a bit with all the snow in the ground. It was beautiful! It really was so nice to disconnect from the world a bit without a tv at the property. Everyone was friendly and helpful and the communication was great. We left some games there and they sent them to us no problem! It was just great. Thanks to all of you for making it a great stay.

Great place for a group

The Loft was awesome to stay at with our group. We were in town for a family wedding and this was perfect. As most of us are from out of town, it was great to be able to stay together and The Loft was perfect with 6 beds & the 4 bathroom were a miracle. Very short drive to Manco made it very convenient. Highly recommended!!!!
