Our luxurious log cabin sits on over one hundred scenic acres offering a rustic and intimate escape in the rugged wilderness. Our gated entrance is on a private road with a scenic winding driveway that leads you to the main level of the cabin. Opening the double doors into the main floor of the cabin you will notice right away the gorgeous walnut wood flooring that was milled locally in Mancos. The kitchen is fully furnished with custom cabinets, granite countertops and a large copper sink. It is also thoughtfully stocked with all of your cooking and house hold needs. Right off of the kitchen is the dining area with a gorgeous one of a kind, locally made aspen and ponderosa pine table that seats 10. This large open floor plan also includes a living room with a gas fireplace, a 40" HDTV and mountain views in every direction. In the primary suite you can lie in your king size bed at night and look out of the window at gorgeous views, possibly a full moon as it sits above the Mesa Verde National Park and watch the stars as they tell you the secrets of the ancient pueblo Indians who lived there before. Don't bother looking for your slippers because if you have to get up in the night the floors are heated so you will come back to bed feeling cozy and warm. The primary bath includes a sauna with hand made tiles created by a local artisan and more beautiful views. Head upstairs to another primary suite with a king bed, full bath and a large seating area for you to enjoy the views of the La Plata mountains while reading a book and relaxing. Down stairs you will notice two bedrooms and a full bath as well as a laundry room. The first room has a set of full size bunk beds and a game area that leads out to the back patio. The next room is another suite with a full living room that includes a 60" tv with surround sound, and kitchenette that includes a sink coffee station and refrigerator. This room offers another very comfortable king size bed and has no windows which is perfect for movie nights or those of you who enjoy black-out dark for sleeping. All of our beds are made with 100% Long Staple Pure Egyptian Cotton - Sateen Weave sheets for your comfort. These natural Egyptian Cotton, soft and crisp sheets are free from harmful chemicals & certified 'Made in Green' . Our cabin sleeps no more than 10 people. Grab your towel and head out to the back patio, slip into the hot tub with a glass of wine to enjoy a starlit night next to our custom fire pit. Our back patio is stocked with a picnic table and two grills for your enjoyment. Come have your western vacation here at El Rio Mancos and create memories that you will carry with you for a lifetime.

Our family had a great time in this spacious, clean and comfortable cabin, remotely situated with gorgeous views of Mesa verde and the surrounding areas!
We had a lively stay. The place had all the amenities! Well appointed kitchen, hot tub perfect temperature and the beds were great! Definately worth the price!
We so enjoyed the views and the hot tub. The beds were comfy and the property was clean. Property manager was always prompt in responding to questions.
Thank you!
A group of us were in town dealing with a family emergency and we are so grateful to have been together in such a beautiful, calm and well-appointed house. The host was kind, accommodating, and quick to respond to communications and questions. The house was very comfortable, the kitchen had everything needed, the location was very private.
One of the best Cabins we’ve ever stayed. Amazing stargazing, spotless house with superbe steam room and hot tub. We will come back. I didn’t want to leave. LOVED EVERYTHING !!!!
We had the absolute best Thanksgiving weekend ever in this well appointed, three level cabin. It was constructed the old fashioned way with real logs and impeccable chinking. The steam bath and hot tub were very relaxing after a hike across the property and adjacent public land. We really enjoyed our trip to the nearby Mesa Verde ruins. We definitely plan to make another stay here in the future.
This house is gorgeous! Beds were comfortable. Everything was very clean including the hot tub. Plenty of toiletries and towels. We saw the only wildlife we saw on our whole trip in Colorado every morning out the front windows which were mule deer. Would highly recommend!
This house was perfect for the first part of our CO adventure! Very peaceful and relaxing. Morning coffee on the front porch was probably our favorite. My teen boys loved the huge area downstairs, and the door closing off that space was very peaceful :). The house was super clean, kitchen was impressive, and communication with the property manager was excellent!! Our pups loved their stay too. Can’t wait to go back!

Fantastic!
A beautiful home on a stunnng piece of property in a glorious part of the country. What more can I say. Oh yeah, Kris and Jeff are welcoming, gracious hosts! We will be back!
This cabin was beyond beautiful and perfect for our family Christmas!
Perfect size for our family. We all had our own space plus space to enjoy one another. The dining room table was perfect space for family game time. Only suggestion is to ensure all lighting has working lights. Dining room and master bathroom had several burnt out bulbs. Absolutely a Hallmark setting! We will be coming back!

Lovely serene Cabin with awe inspiring views
My family had a vacation planned that we had to cancel last minute. We still wanted to get away for a few days and I came across this beautiful cabin on VRBO. We live south of Denver so the drive to the cabin was absolutely stunning which made the 7 hour drive pass by quickly. The Cabin is tucked back away from the road but Kris's directions were impeccable. It did rain during our stay but the first night was clear and the stars were amazing! It was difficult at first for everyone not to have WIFI but... after the first night we forgot all about technological devices and we just spent time as a family (something that we haven't done in a long while) The house itself has everything you need to make your stay comfortable. The only issue we had, was with locking the french doors but after a bit of trial and error we mastered it! We were able to visit Telluride (approx 1 1/2 hour drive) which was amazing and we visited two National parks. Mesa Verde is literally in their backyard and I highly recommend everyone who is a guest to take the time to visit. We also stopped on the way home at The Great National Sand Dunes. So much beauty in this section of Colorado! Thank You Kris for sharing your home with our family!
Our stay at the ranch was a wonderful surprise! This beautiful cabin is comfortable and a perfect place to kick back and relax.
We especially enjoyed the porch and mountain views and stargazing. The hot tub was a great benefit for our aching muscles after several days of hiking.
The kitchen was well-appointed. I especially appreciated multiple coffee options and the to-go cups!
Beds were comfortable though crazy high. A wooden stool for the second floor bedroom would be appreciated. Loved the robes!
Thank you for sharing your stunning cabin.
This property is so nice! We had a wonderful time. The beds were amazing. The atmosphere was amazing! The house was clean and comfy and well stocked and everything was as good as it could be!
The views here are incredible. We loved the hot tub and the steam room. Spacious and lovely.
