We absolutely loved our stay! The house comes with all the beach accessories you need and it’s a very easy 2 block walk. Very clean home and the whole experience was very smooth with excellent communication for checking in and out.

The house was clean and was ready for our stay. However, there were a couple minor issues that detracted from the overall experience. The furnace didn't work (I suspect the pilot light was out), but we only had one cool night that heat would have been nice to have. The other item is that a few light bulbs were out (front porch and over the fireplace). The dark front porch made it a bit more difficult to type in the keycode and everyone felt a little less safe.

This house was lovely. We had a great time. The upstairs can be a bit warmer just due to the age of the home but the host had LOTS of fans which moved the air and made it quite comfortable. We appreciated the proximity to the beach and the lovely screened porch and plenty of parking! It is right next door to pickleball courts so note that. You will hear it along with your morning coffee on the porch. I would definitely stay at this property again. It was clean and the master bedroom was very comfortable (and on the main floor!). I highly recommend!

We loved the property! The only issue was there was no hot water to take a shower for hours. That was challenging after everyone returned back from the lake.

South Haven MI vacation home

On line search via VRBO was easy and the information provided was complete and accurate. The house was very clean, nicely furnished, kitchen was fully equipped, beach chairs and kids sand toys provided, kids coloring books, crayons, colored pencils, books and games were an unexpected great surprise. Location was about a 10 minute walk to the beach and 20 minute walk to downtown. We were very pleased!

A Perfect Location and Beautiful Home!

We travel from Connecticut to South Haven two weeks out of the summer. As we are originally from MI, we look forward to our Michigan families taking turns staying with us and having fun at the Lake. This property was a perfect location, was well-equipped, and had the space to accommodate all of our needs! We loved our two weeks on Oak Street Beach and in South Haven! Thank you for creating such a wonderful space! -the Fabians

Shower head in bath was loose and squirted water all over the bathroom and my dress clothes. I had to wipe down the whole room and ceiling. Big stain on bedroom carpet.Asked a little extra time on the 10 am checkout and was told "sure. For 75 an hour. I'm sure it must be in the fine print somewhere but not the sort of response that supports customer loyalty.

So sorry about the shower, this has been fixed. As far as the late checkout goes, we do charge for a late checkout when the request is sent on same day, because cleaners are usually already enroute to do their cleaning, so we have to compensate for their time to wait for their entry to be able to clean.

The house itself was nice, clean, well-maintained and in a great location within walking distance of the lake. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Unfortunately, the heating system was broken during our visit and would not turn on. With temperatures dropping to 45F, the house became cold, making it harder to enjoy our time indoors. We contacted the host immediately about the issue. While they responded, they were unwilling to come and fix the furnace during our stay. Instead, they dropped off a single space heater for my elderly mother’s room but provided nothing for my children or the rest of the house. This was completely inadequate and a major disappointment, especially given that reliable heating is a basic expectation for any rental.Because of this, our stay was less enjoyable than it should have been. I recommend confirming with the host that the heating system is fully functional before booking, especially during cooler months.

We are so sorry you had this experience. Due to the timing of your stay, Saturday and Sunday, we were limited on HVAC professionals that would be willing to come on that short notice. It was fixed shortly after you left, I know this didn't help you though.

Loved Tranquility House!

We had a great stay! It was my husband, me, our son and daughter in law and their 3 daughters. We had a great time!…… just a few things…… there was no extra toilet paper, paper towels, soap in the bathrooms in the pump bottles were almost with no backups for those. There were about 25 napkins with no backup pkgs. It was advertised as a fully stocked kitchen but we had to buy these items for ourselves. Also, one of the kitchen chairs was broken …. The legs were held on with large screws and bolts….. one of the legs had no bolts to hold the leg on! My husband sat on the chair the last day and it collapsed under him ( and he’s not a big guy). He is ok but it would be a safety concern and should be fixed before the next renters get there. Otherwise, the house was great, grill worked fine, LOTS of beach toys and big wagons to take everything to the beach!! Overall, except for the items above, it was great!!!!

We had a fantastic stay. Communication with the host was very smooth, and they were very proactive. The property is excellent, better than what shows in the pictures. Very spacious and very well equipped, including a lot of beach stuff. The only issue we had was overflowing outside trash cans, and they solved it right away when we mentioned it to the host. It's not super close to North Beach or downtown, but also not terribly far—we made the walk a couple of times with the kids and loved it. Will be back!

We had a wonderful stay and the home was beautiful and fit our needs so well. The extra space in the porch was amazing and the garage full of beach gear was such a bonus! The beds were super comfortable and the overall space was great! We were short on towels but the team dropped some off the next morning. A couple little cleanliness issues were communicated to the management but nothing that impeded our stay. We loved the location of this house as well…walking distance to Oak beach which is great for a quick sunset watch but this beach is too small for the families that are staying in the homes nearby. We opted to walk to the next beach over for more space. Overall, this home offered everything we needed and enough space for 5 adults and 2 children. We made some sweet Michigan summer memories!

Lovely, spacious house in a beautiful, quiet area with all the amenities of home. Enough room for our family of ten with comfortable beds and pillows. The fire pit in back added a special touch. The beach and town are walkable. Only a few blocks away. My wife & I could not have picked a better place to spend our 25th anniversary.
