This house and the location were everything we dreamed of and more! Everyone was responsive to needs and addressed issues promptly. I can't say enough good things about this property! We will be back next year!!!
We had a great time and all were delighted to see N Captiva is still there after Ian! The new bathroom downstairs was a great addition, as is the new pool and we enjoyed staying there again.
We had 11 family members stay for an unforgettable trip. My parents, Sister and her family and my family had plenty of space. We had a hard time getting the kids out of the large and perfectly temperature pool the only thing that they liked better than the pool was a ride on the golf carts! The beach was just a few houses down and the shelling and sunsets were amazing. My mom and sister love cooking and they were pleased to find everything you could ever want in the kitchen. We had meals both in the main living space and by the pool and there was plenty of room to eat and sprawl out all our stuff. You could go to the Club pool if you needed some more socializing but we never made it there as the house was so wonderful. The main living area was very spacious and beautifully decorated. The tweens thought it was too cool to go on the roof and hang out under the stars and night. We were worried that hurricanes had left the island feeling desolate but that wasn’t the case at all. The beaches were pristine and of course uncrowded. Everything was green and magical just like we remembered from vacationing there 7 years ago. You do see houses and lots that haven’t rebuilt yet but it was interested more than anything like seeing a bit of the past and what they went through. The staff was quick to text any question or need we had. Manatees, Dolphin, Turtles, Shells, and sunsets all while staying on this unhurried island in an amazing house it will be hard to ever top this memory!!
We had a fabulous experience! The listing says 4 bathrooms, but it's really only 3. That was far outweighed by the large living/dining area, brand new pool, fabulous location, along with an abundance of great beach chairs and umbrellas and beach towels. We also enjoyed all the North Captiva nature: manatees, dolphins, shells galore!
Excellent time once again on this beautiful island. This house is beautiful and only a hop skip and jump to beach. They have a large living room/dining room area, where everyone can group together. Our group loves this house.

First visit
This was our first visit to the island with a group of seven. Upon arrival we were picked up from the ferry and taken to the house. The property manager instructed to us that one of the golf carts was “rigged up”. She was on her phone and instructed the girls that were stocking our groceries to give us a tour of the island and she just left. We never got the tour of the island. From the beginning of our stay the pool kept loosing water and we would continuously have to fill it up as they instructed us to do, and then ask the property managers of Tortuga to send someone to check the pool levels. The person that checked it said he thought it had a leak in pool. Also the “rigged golf cart” kept stopping when drove and had to be pushed back home or off the road to the side of road. We asked numerous times with the property managers of Tortuga to please fix the cart or get us a new cart so we could explore the island. Someone was finally sent out a few times to try and fix it but eventually towed it off. We finally received a cart back Friday afternoon the day before we were to leave. The house itself was wonderful, but the property managers not answering messages or putting off issues for long periods of time was unacceptable. I even had to contact the owner of the house to have her tell me she would contact property managers about the issues.
Two families (4 adults and 4 teenagers) had a wonderful week at Coquina Beach House. The island was absolutely beautiful and we loved all the amenities it had to offer. We took advantage of the kayaks that come with the NCIC membership and rented fishing poles for the week from Boats and Fun that we used on the beach just steps from Coquina house. We probably caught over 30 fish throughout the week which was a lot of fun for a house full of inexperienced fisherman. The house is perfectly stocked with Tommy Bahama beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie and skim boards as well as a beach wagon to get them down the 100 foot path to the beach. After spending a week on the island, other than an ocean-front home, I couldn't imagine a better location than this house. The kitchen was nicely stocked and the main living area was spacious and perfect for our needs. Our only issues were with the golf carts which are tricky to charge and probably should be replaced soon. The one charger only worked half of the time and required a great deal of work to get it to come on. We asked for a new charger while we there but it didn't happen during our week. Everything is walkable so it did not impact our vacation and made for some funny memories. We highly recommend this vacation property and this perfect little island!
Beautiful home with plenty of shampoo, soaps, trash bags, etc. However, the island was limited in activities for teens and planning/purchasing food ahead of time for the week was challenging since there wasn't a grocery store on the island. There is a small convenience store, but limited items and expensive.
The house and pool were perfect for our family with young children, it was a very short walk to the beach making it easy to come and go during the day. The kids adored the heated pool which got much appreciated shade in the morning and evening. The kitchen was well stocked with plastic plates and cups for the pool deck use and there were tons of pool and beach toys available. We’d absolutely return and rent the same home. The owner is also incredibly prompt in replying to messages.
The property was a great location. Two houses away from the gulf side beach. Really 4 BR in the house, one with 4 bunks that was great for the kids. The 5th is on ground level without access to the house from the inside and without a bath. No big deal for us because we didn’t need it. Other BRs were great for the parents and grandparents. Pool was pretty cloudy on the day we arrived, which was a bummer. They sent someone out and it cleared right up. Pool deck is huge with ample seating. Lots of pool toys, beach chairs, beach umbrellas and a wagon to haul it all in were provided. More stuff than we had at our previous NCI stay, which was great for beach trips. Main level had plenty of room for 6 of us to spread out with a few different seating areas. Tortuga Properties was responsive and helpful. We’d stay at this property again.

Horrible experience with island girl ferry and captiva resort
We get there to get the island girl ferry to take us over and can’t because of wave height but here comes a girl that is getting on the ferry that didn’t tell us they could take us over now but instead they wanted us to stay at in inland hotel like wtf but we finally get over on the island and the food we ordered for the family wasn’t showing up at all with the threee cases if we after we ordered for the kids to drink but get that the drinking water stoped working at the house with the pool heater at the house didn’t work or the gulf carts didn’t charge correctly with the right plug in only one of them the other needed to be fixed but I guess you get what u pay for on captiva island
We found that our vacay exceeded our expectations. The home, beach and everything else was nothing less than spectacular. We all agreed that this is a well kept secret and we WILL be returning! Thank you for your beautiful beach home with all its amenities! The golfcarts, pool, cabana, beachchairs and crows nest were all appreciated! Management team was top notch and responded kindly and timely to all our needs. Thx again and see you next year;) Amy

Great ladies weekend!
The sleeping and living areas very good. Small kitchen, but has Everything you need. We really appreciated a 4 night rental during September with a very helpful cancellation policy, if we'd had a storm. Thank you for sharing your lovely home!!
Property was awesome, everything worked and was in good condition. Have stayed in many houses on island and this house is well stocked with kitchen stuff- appreciate this when trying to cook for 10 people. Thanks again and see you soon.
The property is nice, the pool needs some work but the island is beautiful and you won’t be spending much time indoors! The location is perfect, just a brief walk to the beach. Laurie was nice and very knowledgeable. We used the grocery delivery service with no issues. Their communication isn’t the best but really we had no issues, and we would stay again! Everything is on island time and the electricity went out a few times on the island. If you are super picky person or have really high expectations this might not be the best vaca option. You really have to just go with the flow and relax, enjoy the beach and the jungle during your stay!
Great overall experience! Kitchen is stocked with plates, cutlery, cups, pots and pans and stuff so that was nice since we brought food to cook! The beach is just down the block and the water was great!
There were some bugs at night so don’t forget to bring off!
The owner Carolina was great, very responsive. The property managers however were not. They never got back to me on a steel water bottle I left in their golf cart so that sucked bc it was expensive. They never got back to me on a short lived issue I had with the water. They never got back to me on a golf cart that just stopped working. It would’ve certainly have been nicer to feel like my issues were being looked at but honestly I don’t think they cared at all!
1st time visiting this hidden piece of paradise and I was not disappointed. The house was amazing, the ease of everything from check in to check out was flawless. The shelling at the sandbar was out of this world . We had so much fun traveling the island on the golf carts. We fished , swam , ate out and cooked in. I would definitely recommend this home and the island . It literally had everything we needed , from chairs, towels , coolers they even had a cast net !
We will be returning to this hidden gem most definitely! Duncan is an excellent property manager he made everything so smooth as we were very nervous not knowing what to expect .
The whole experience was unforgettable. There was never a dull moment, from the second we stepped on the ferry to when we left the island. I came here with my family and some very close friends and everyone had a great time. The kids loved the house, they played board games and spent a lot of time in the pool. The property has everything you could need, and was very comforting, especially the kitchen level. We loved going up to the rooftop deck to see the great view and the sunset. The location was perfect, as the house was only a short walk away from the beach. The experience of moving through the island via golf kart was very fun and the kids loved it! Throughout the island. we saw gopher tortoises, Eastern Indigo snakes, a lot of ospreys, and many raccoons at night. The beaches were amazing, we loved looking for beautiful shells and sea stars. We saw many dolphins near us, while on the beach and on a kayak trip. Carolina, the owner of the house, was very special and attentive to all our messages, as she responded very quickly. We would definitely go back ASAP if we had the chance. It was a perfect getaway.
