Great location, host was kind and responsive. The apartment was clean and well-stocked. The only real issue is that getting in and out of the loft bed was not for the faint of heart. There's not head clearance at the top of the ladder and I had to belly crawl over to the bed where the ceiling was higher.
On the downside, it's small and has sloping walls that made for frequent head bumps. But it was also clean, sell appointed and had everything I needed. I loved the loft bed and large windows on each side of the apartment that allowed for a lovely cross-breeze during the day and while I slept. The neighborhoods is alive with cafes and restaurants and filled with young people and vitality. Republique is just blocks away and metro stations are all around, All in all, if you don't mind a small space, this place was a real value and a great location.
The place was clean (the building wasn't: there are dirty toilets on the landings and the stairs are not clean)--but a plumbing problem meant sewer gas smells for some days. The host was responsive to that issue, and also to the broken coffee-maker and lack of essential kitchen equipment problems. Good communicator, kind. But this is not a "charming" place and not one I would rent again. It is VERY SMALL--and you can only stand up fully in one third of the TINY apartment. The ladder up to the not so great loft bed (you have to crawl into) is not quite safe (needs a handhold at the top--in front of the climber) and the toilet does not have a real door, and the shower will leak water if you are not very careful. That said, the location is wonderful, and "lively."
Clean room, good for solo travelers on a budget. You need to be able to walk up stairs to the room and climb up a ladder to the loft bed, but it was comfortable sleeping. Host was flexible and communicative.
The location of this apartment was great! It is in a neighborhood that people live in...not a huge touristy spot. Restaurants next door, a fabulous patisserie right around the corner that we visited every day. The location and apt building have a lot of character. We loved the unusual windows. Climbing up & down the ladder could be a little tricky but was also fun... provided lots of giggles. We also enjoyed our many speculations about the stairwell bathroom! Communication with the owners and colleagues was EXCELLENT. Clean apartment, fully equipped kitchen. Close to public transportation and easy to get to the big tourist attractions. Very nice local grocery stores. We felt safe while staying here. Thanks for sharing! One recommendation...consider taking Vincent up on the offer of hiring his driver for transportation to and from the airport. We initially thought it sounded too expensive, but after paying the "airport fees" for the metro we wished we had just used his driver service. Another tip... if you use the metro to get to the airport, pay for the airport fee at your beginning location (rather than AT the airport), it is much less expensive!
I would absolutely stay here again!Fantastic location with museums, restaurants and shops close by. I would absolutely stay here again! It’s a small attic studio with tons of character, exposed beams and a cozy loft bed. Through it’s small the space is used well. There was plenty of storage and the kitchen was well equipped. It was very hot while I while I was in Paris and the apartment had AC! This was amazing! To be able to come home in the evening and relax in a cool apartment was such a bonus. I got sick while in Paris and the manager was so helpful in arranging for me to stay an extra day so I didn’t have to move. She got back to me right away. I only have one suggestion, which is to get a bigger fan or extra AC for the loft. This probably isn’t necessary 11 months out of 12, but in the crazy hot weather we had, I couldn’t sleep up there. The AC was great on the main floor and didn’t reach the loft at all. I slept on the couch downstairs. I’m a smallish person so I was pretty comfy (though a more cushiony couch would have been awesome!), but it wouldn’t work for someone else. Again this is just a suggestion for next summer since climate change seems to indicate that summers won’t cool down. Everything else was just lovely.

Not recommended for Seniors; Otherwise fine
We are in our 70s and we’re not prepared to climb a tall ladder to climb into bed. We left after 2 nights and went to a hotel nearby. Just really unable to sleep well. Great location.

Our stay was good and it was a good location. I would be aware though that the ceiling is quite low as you climb into the loft, and the ceiling in the bathroom even lower.
Great place in a neighborhood that’s always up. Very good experience.

Excellent experience; just know it's a small unit.
The unit is as advertised, but I didn't realize it was as small as it was. Luckily, it was a short stay, and we had no problems sharing a small space and climbing into the loft to sleep. Communication was excellent, and customer service was outstanding. We arrived late; they met us at the apartment and thoroughly oriented us to the apartment and local area. It was a vibrant community with many bars and restaurants and was close to multiple metro stops.
This was the perfect size for two people. It was clean, easy to access and not far from anything we hoped to see in Paris. The neighborhood was calm but did have many fun restaurants, bars and boulangeries throughout. Would stay here again and would recommend to anyone!
I stayed, solo, for 2 weeks and couldn't be more pleased with the apartment, and the neighborhood is lively (in a good way - not too loud or anything)! Hosts were very responsive and supportive. Other reviews about the loft ladder being a bit challenging are accurate, but I'm very tall and in late middle age, and had no problem navigating it. Would absolutely stay here again!
Although it is small apartment has everything you need. The landlords were responsive and helpful. The AC worked well. The loft got very hot but cooled down quickly with the fan and opening the window. The ladder to the loft needs a railing. There is nothing to hold onto to get down. Neighborhood is great with easy access to several metros.
The communication was quick and precise, the check in process was on time. The place was very cute, but as my partner and I are very tall, it was a little difficult to get around. They were also very accommodating when we had to cut the stay short. Thank you!
