About the host
Hosted by Robert and Diana Woodard

Diana and I hope you will enjoy our home as much as we have. Every time we are able to stay at "Casa de los Arboles", House of the Trees, a peace will surround you with the trees and maybe a fuzzy gray squirrel or two. We have enjoyed running 8 marathons, biking on the island of Mallorca, skiing in Canada, back packing on the West Coast Trail on Vancouver Island, the Pacific Crest Trail, traveled through Europe & Mexico and it's Idyllwild-Pine Cove just feels right, just like home!
Why they chose this property
Enjoy your stay, cast your eyes to the stars at night and breathe in the fresh air away from city life! Need I say more just enjoy the fresh air and peacefulness of our home.
What makes this property unique
Mile-high Idyllwild" is our popular southern California mountain resort about one mile (1.6 km) in altitude. It is flanked by two large and one smaller rock formation, Tahquitz Peak (with nearby Lily Rock) and Suicide Rock, which are famous in Southern California rock climbing circles, and Mt Atlas. It currently offers no skiing; thus "the Hill" has been minimally developed over the years and remains a center for hiking, mountain and rock climbing, mountain biking and horseback riding.
