Quiet and Secluded, yet only a 10 minute walk to downtown Ouray. Log Cabin with a large welcoming front porch that overlooks the Uncompahgre River with incredible mountain views. Outdoor sitting area with fire pit, and large parking area off the street. Sleeping for 10 that includes two bedrooms and a loft that serves as a third sleeping area.
Large kitchen with all of the conveniences of home. Wood burning stove, washer and dryer, large dining room table with seating for all 10.

Great Cabin

Veey nice and clean cabin, very convenient to town. Wonderful views and the river is right below.. great communication and hospitality from the property manager, i cant recommended this rentao enough

Hooray for Ouray

Perfect cabin for families. So close to the park and the Hot springs. Enjoyed hearing the river at night with the windows open. Felt very private and secluded!

Perfect home base in Ouray

My husband and I stayed in this beautiful log cabin in January, when we were in Ouray for the ice climbing festival. We can't imagine a more perfect home base for a visit to Ouray. Walks to Town and to the Perimeter Trail were easy and convenient, so that we only needed to drive when we enjoyed a trip over the Million Dollar Highway. The cabin is incredibly cozy and well furnished, and even though there were only two of us on this trip, there was plenty of room for more family or friends to have joined us. The kitchen is very well stocked, there's good water pressure and hot water in the showers, and the sound of the rushing stream below the cabin is just lovely. The hosts also are wonderful, with quick responses to each message we sent. We absolutely will stay here again when we return to Ouray.

Our names are Ben & Sue Goudy. As young adults out of college, we moved across the country to begin our family, and raised four children. Due to Ben's extensive global travel, we wanted all four of our children to experience the USA before they to, would potentially travel the world. To allow them to experience this great country of ours, we set a goal to have all four of them experience all 50 states by the time they were 18. Luckily our careers facilitated this due to great vacation and sabbatical plans where we worked. All four of our kids, who are all adults now (with five, soon to be six kids of their own) reached the goal before their 19th birthday.

With our extensive travel, Ouray Colorado has been our favorite place in the US. We have been coming to Ouray since we accidentally stumbled upon it trying a "shortcut" from Phoenix to Missouri for a family wedding. That was in 1985. We were fortunate to buy a place in Ouray in 2020, and are happy to share this wonderful place with our guests.

Why they chose this property

A cozy log cabin in the San Juan Mountains of the Rockies that overlooks a river. I mean, can it get any better...maybe if John Denver is singing, a baseball game is on, you are eating a hot dog, with an apple pie cooling in the kitchen window. The setting is very unique with over 4 acres within the town limits, yet private and secluded. Try it out!
