The house is beautiful with stunning views over the Dordogne river. The rooms were all traditionally furnished. We loved them. Most of the house had been done up to a high standard and felt very comfortable with lots of space for our family.The gardens and the pool were wonderful. It was very hot during our stay, so we spent a lot of time on the terrace and swimming. The children loved it and the play area. Very helpful and friendly caretakers lived nearby, but we only saw them at the beginning and end of our stay, as needed. The location is very quiet, but we all liked Carlux, a 20 minute walk away, which had a supermarket, farm shop, bar and castle. Our only problem was initially finding the house. We would have appreciated clearer instructions. Maybe what3words would solve this.

Semaine en famille aux Fontanes

Nous avons passé une semaine formidable aux Fontanes. La maison a beaucoup de charme, une vue extraordinaire sur la vallée de la Dordogne. Chacun a pu profiter des vacances à son rythme (grands parents al'ombre des arbres, parents et grands enfants dans la piscine). Mémorables parties de pétanque devant la maison et balade en kayak sur la Dordogne. Petit bémol sur la salle de bain du Rdc peu confortable et les nombreux cafards dans la cuisine.

Parfait

Une semaine parfaite dans cette très belle maison. Nous avons bien profité du jardin et de la piscine avec nos enfants et pu faire de belles excursions à la rivière pas très loin en voiture. On recommande !!!
