We stayed here for a week with six adults total. The house was perfect for a bigger group. Multiple bedrooms and bathrooms to choose from and they were all spread out to allow for privacy. We absolutely loved being so close to the beach and also being able to walk to the many wonderful restaurants on Sullivan's Island. The owner, Davis, checked in with us the first night to make sure we had everything we needed and he would respond quickly if we had questions. I would definitely recommend this house.
Close to the middle of everything we needed. Grocery was just a little over 2 miles as were coffee shops n other stores. House is getting renovated n we appreciated the really nice bedrooms n updated bathrooms. Great room, dining room n covered front porch was a treat as we had many friends n families come by n say hello. We appreciated beach gear, chairs, n bikes.
House is in a great location: easy walk to beach and restaurants. Plenty of beds. Big rec room the kids loved to crash in. We will absolutely be staying here again.
Loved the house and location. Perfect to walk to restaurants and the beach. Plenty of room and a fun area to play ping pong and hang out. Several bikes to take advantage of the beautiful scenery of Sullivan’s Island. We would definitely stay here again.
We loved our time at Surf’s Up!! Host was very friendly, and laid back! House was clean and spacious! Plenty of room to spread out , but also good spaces for togetherness! Loved the second story screened porch! Location could not have been better!
We were very lucky to find this short term rental on Sullivans Island because there are few due to local ordanances. Absolutely perfect location being only a block from the beach, a block from local restaurants and a block from pickleball courts (if you bring your own net). The house is huge and the five BR very private behind double doors to the living areas.
Love a classic beach house and this one was in a perfect location, easy walk one way to the beach or the other way to wonderful restaurants. Nice updated bathrooms and spacious bedrooms, and a great dining room. We spent a lot of time on the screened-in porch, and my husband had his own tv room downstairs. We all loved the ping pong table!
Owner was quick to help with one problem we had moving in. Highly recommend for a family vacation
Always love our time in Sullivan's and this was no exception. The location of this house is amazing - 1 block to beach and 1 block to bars/restaurants. Barely used the golf cart! House needs some upkeep and not sure the beds are really queens, bathrooms are updated.
The property is 100 yrs old but clean with everything you need. It appears that it’s a work in progress as all but one bathroom have been nicely updated. And there’s a really nice outdoor shower that’s not in the listing that my husband enjoyed. The screened in front porch is comfortable for hanging out. It would be nice to have a table there for dining. The bureaus are antique and some drawers don’t easily pull out and it looks like some curtains have been changed out as old hardware is still visible. The kitchen met our needs and the beds were comfortable. The rooms are all separated so there’s lots of privacy. Finally, Edgar was great to deal with as he was immediately responsive to any questions we had.
We loved our stay at this great house with such a good feel to it. Wonderful location a block from the beach, very clean and well supplied with everything we needed, and an easy walk into charming town and restaurants. We’d love to stay here again
Our family of 4 adults and one 5 year old spent a week at this house on Sullivans Island. The location was terrific - short walk to huge beach and a couple blocks to many good restaurants. The living quarters on second floor were good and bathrooms were fine.In fact, the master bathroom looks like it has been newly updated with new shower.. The screened porch on second floor was great. That said, the house was built in the 1930s so it is definitely a beach house with old woodwork that has not been refinished and old kitchen with plenty of cooking supplies but beat up appearance. If you are a neatnik this property might bother you,but if you know you are getting a rustic beach house you will enjoy the room and proximity to beach and "town". We did not use the downstairs at all.
This was a perfect home for our family and very equipped. It was an easy walk to beach and restaurants. We also had fun with the ping pong table and bikes.
I am a native Charlestonian and my family had a house on the Island for close to 40 years. My brother lives on the island and has for 35+ years. When we come home to visit, we want to stay on Sullivan's Island. This is our second time to stay in this house and hopefully, we will stay there many more times. This house reminds me of our old beach house with upgrades and we love it. It works well for our family and is very comfortable. The beach access is very convenient. We did not want to leave!
