This is a great beach property with lots of separate living spaces to accommodate multiple family members or friends. It features high ceilings, a beautiful front porch and is steps from one of the most beautiful beaches in the area. This feels like a true vacation house with wood paneling, and some quirkiness…but that is some of its appeal. Host was traveling and was transitioning to an a digital information packet so there were a few hiccups, but he made it right in the end. We would return.

Edgar was an incredible host - I can’t say enough wonderful things about our experience with him and the house. The house is in the perfect location, and Edgar was incredibly helpful and very quick to respond to messages. We already booked our next trip!

The house was a little more run down than the pictures on VRBO show. Older fence with some pickets missing. Not all the windows have curtains or blinds. We did not stay after seeing numerous roaches in the kitchen after dark. The location is terrific however with lots of space to spread out if you are more than one family.

Amazing stay

The pictures don’t do this beautiful beach home justice. It’s a wonderful old home with gorgeous paneling, high ceilings, a big porch, and a perfect location. One minute to the beach and even less to some of the best restaurants and cute shops on Sullivans Island. The host was great to work with, check in and out were both a breeze.

Every part of our stay at Surfs Up was wonderful. The house is huge and the location is perfect. We had a group of 7 adults and everyone was very comfortable. There is plenty of privacy and the house was sparkling clean. Its a two minute walk to the beach and downtown restaurants. Communication with host was very easy. We can't wait to stay here again. Highly recommended.

This is a lovely old house with much character. It is a short & easy walk to a gorgeous beach and also to several restaurants. The big front porch was a delight and the ping pong table lots of fun. The kitchen was fine - no complaints. We were only six people so we ate at the kitchen table instead of the large dining room one. The owner was very available (via phone) and helpful and encouraged us to call with questions. The outside of the house need a little paint I think but the inside was lovely. We did see one roach in the kitchen when we first arrived but never again, I know the Charleston area so know that is common. Our only challenge was the de-humidifier on the ground floor because it kept getting full of water - maybe a larger one is needed I will ask my companions for any other suggestions. If I need to rent a house again on SI I'd go for this one for sure! Great place.
