The magnificent master suite is a wonderful place to relax with panoramic ocean views along with multiple other bedroom suites. The north wing is semi-secluded on the north wing of the home with its own living room, separate entrance, making it fantastic for guests and extended family.

Generous living areas with stunning ocean views, large beam ceilings, and formal dining for 12 guests. The gorgeous kitchen provides luxury cabinets, top of the line Sub Zero and Viking appliances.

The home is huge and great for a big group. Fairly dated and the house needs some TLC but it was very functional for our extended family to gather. Amazing views and the pool and hot tub area was great and used every day. The hall bathroom door doesn’t close. The kitchen had everything you could need, for example there were 5 coffee makers. There was also a lot of furniture for the space. Overall very much enjoyed our week. Host very responsive.

The location of the property great. Everything we wanted to go to was close. The pool and hot tub was a great feature and central hanging out spot for our family. Beautiful views. The kitchen was spacious and well stocked with dishes, utensils, pans, etc. We had an issue with the freezer in the fridge not working. David had a small chest freezer delivered right away for us. The property is very spacious for a big crowd but needs some TLC. We had 7 adults and 6 kids ages 9 through 2 months old. Lighting in some of the rooms was too dim. The wing behind the kitchen didn't have working sofa beds and luckily for our group it wasn't a problem since the grandkids were going to be sleeping on them and we made it work. David said he was planning to replace them. There was also no window coverings on that area so the sun will wake you up early. Also luckily for our group the grandkids slept through that! The downstairs hall bathroom pocket door didn't work and David said he had tried fixing it twice and was planning to put on a regular door. The place could use a good deep cleaning. Overall it was a great place for a family vacation with location, pool, view, spacious house and well equipped kitchen.

Roomy mansion

Three generations of family gathered for a week’s festivities and fun. Lots of room for games, relaxing and family meals together. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked with everything needed. The large heated pool was a central gathering place for barbecues and pool fun. The few requests we made of David, property management, were promptly filled. Thanks David. The area is quiet and the view of la Jolla breathtaking. We would certainly book this property again.

Spent most of our time in backyard with the beautiful view. Kids had a great time in the pool. Plenty of room in the home to spread out if someone needed some quiet time. My kids walked down to some of the stores and said it was an uphill walk all the way back so I didn't try it. Grandkids all kept telling me what a great time they were having. It was the perfect place to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary with family.

We had a fantastic stay at this La Jolla property. The location was ideal - just a short drive to the beach and close enough to town that we were easily able to walk to shops and restaurants. The house was large and comfortably fit out group of 16, which was perfect for our family's getaway. One of the highlights was the pool - we spent a lot of time hanging out there. It was a great spot to relax and enjoy each other's company.That said, the house was a bit rundown in places and could use some updates. There were a few missing essentials like shampoo, conditioner and not having enough coffee mugs for everyone, but these were minor issues.Overall, it was a great experience. The space, location, and pool made it a wonderful stay, and with a few improvements, this place would be top-notch.

Lots of room and perfect for family time gathering either at kitchen table, in living room area(s) or around the pool. And the separate bedroom/bath for each adult/couple was a plus.However, the furniture and fixtures are all quite dated and well worn. A good spring cleaning, clearing out of old stuff that has amassed over the years, and replacement/ repair of some of the furniture would bring this gem back to its primo past.

We had a wonderful stay. The views were breathtaking and we really enjoyed the pool. We were there over the Fourth of July and were treated to a spectaular fireworks display. We loved the location of the home. We had 11 people in our family group and it was perfect for our size.

50th Wedding Anniversary Family Trip

I rented this magical property for the view, pool &hot tub and 6 bedrooms and it delivered. Our 6 grandchildren, ages 2 - 9 had a blast. A very spacious, lovely home. Beautiful views of the sunset.
