I loved the house, the location is quiet and peaceful and the house is really cute! We could walk across the street to the beach or paddle board on the river behind the house. Genuinely the most relaxing vacation I’ve had in a while!

We loved the dog friendly beach so easily accessible and how few people were on it. We brought our kayaks and enjoyed the creek. The top bedroom is delightfully light, I never tired of the view of the marsh. Mark responded to my questions promptly and was very friendly. We had everything we needed to enjoy a nature friendly getaway.

The hosts were easy to communicate with and answered all my questions quickly. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds comfortable. The walk to the beach is right across the street and short. Having a quiet, private beach was wonderful. While we did not have a dog with us, I can see that it is a good location and property to have one. There were a few small maintenance issues but none that interfered with our enjoyment of the property. If you are looking for a very quiet stay this is the place. Lots of games and books were provided.

The location was wonderful. We had beautiful sunsets in the back and beautiful sunrises in the front easy access to the beach just a short walk across the street. The house itself needs much work. The wallpaper is peeling in living room and the furniture looks secondhand, and the house in general was not clean. Also I stayed in the basement room which was okay but you had to walk outside and up two flights of stairs to go up to the living room / kitchen ( not convenient when we had heavy rain from hurricane Isaias). The 3rd floor upstairs bedroom had a spiral stair case leading up from the living room which I don’t remember seeing in the house pictures, very narrow it does also have an outside entrance though. The walkway out to the dock is broken up so we didn’t use that. I never mind paying a pet fee but I believe it wasn’t necessary for this place there wasn’t much a pet could do to it.

Should note that one bedroom is up a spiral staircase. Was fine for us but could be challenging to others. Also that one bedroom has its own entrance not thru the main house.

Great stay!

We enjoyed our stay at Broadkill beach and we will definitely be back. Very quiet area. The house worked great for our family. Lots of room for everyone and a short walk to the beach.

Extended family summer getaway

Great location for beach access. Also Lewes, Milton, Rohobeth Beach and Milford. Big Oyster locations were great. Can't beat the Broadkill store.

Great Vacation Home

The house was perfect. It had all of the essentials needed for a great vacation. Great location, a short walk to the beach, the dock was great for crabbing. The back decks were perfect to watch the sunset. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Nice quiet house, great location

It was a nice house in a quiet area and great location, with the Broadkill sound on one side and the beach nearby on the other. The public beach access was just across the street and a short walk in to the sand and water!

Birthday and Anniversary Celebration

This was a family trip to celebrate my wife’s birthday and our anniversary. The house was great for family gatherings and meals. Well equipped kitchen and laundry. We definitely would consider coming back again! We had a great time!

Don’t be expecting a fancy place but it was comfortable and perfect for our family. Lots of books and games and nice big kitchen table for the family to eat and play games.

The location of this beach house was perfect- a short walk to Broadkill beach! Close drive to restaurants. The house had a lovely outdoor shower, plenty of deck space and fully stocked kitchen dishes, etc. We found the living space small for that many bedrooms, but we were on the beach, so was not a huge deal. The house was not too clean, but overall was a good spot for a quick getaway.

Loved this house!

It was smooth sailing all the way, from check in and throughout our entire stay. The neighborhood was quiet with lots of access to water. It was almost like having the beach to ourselves and the kids loved it! Thank you for sharing your lovely home with us.

The owners are very friendly and helpful. Responded quickly to any questions or requests . The view of the sound and the bay are awesome from the house . It is a great spot for a large family . I would love it if it was cleaner ,especially the kitchen . I would definitely stay there again.

Weekend get a way

I love how quiet and peaceful broadkill beach is. We enjoyed our short get away over the last few days! House was as advertised. A couple little things needed cleaned prior to unpacking but overall a great experience! Thanks for sharing your house with us!

Family time

The 3 levels of this house provided plenty of space and privacy for each family unit. My husband and I loved the screened back porch for morning coffee and bird songs. Our granddaughter loved the spiral stairs! Beautiful, quiet beach and calm water.

Fantastic space

The views are spectacular, the house has plenty of bedrooms, it is well stocked with puzzles, games, and books. The grill and kitchen are all wonderful with everything you need and there is plenty of porch space to entertain. They provided kayaks and have their own dock to launch from. Super convenient to the ocean - 2 minute walk and is nice and quiet. Would definitely go back

Perfect Family Vacation Spot

Our first trip to Broadkill Beach and it won’t be our last!! So convenient to the beach and we loved the privacy! Bedrooms on 3 different floors worked well for us. Owner very responsive to any questions we had. Our 3-year old grandson said this morning as we were leaving “Can we all come back to this house next year?”!! That says it all!!
