Waterfront Cabin - Hot Tub - Fishing - Private Driveway - Firepit

Relax in the perfect getaway in the North Georgia Mountains. Listen to the sounds of the rushing water from the deck or sreened porch and enjoy the gentle yard & private stone patio with firepit directly on the river.

This one of a kind find features an upgraded kitchen with rock backsplash, a large dining table that seats 8, a gorgeous stone fireplace, spacious bathrooms, deck and screened porch both overlooking the water & more.

Located in Coosawatee Resort, River Run cabin offers quiet rest and relaxation, while just a 15 to 20 minute drive to groceries/conveniences and charming downtown Ellijay. Only about 1.5 hours from Atlanta. (Please note that the last 1/2 mile is gravel roads, and the roads to the cabin are twisty)

**** Please note, there are only enough sleeping accommodations for 6 people max and no extra sheets or pillows, there will be a charge for additional guests. ****

Unique features:
* Private driveway - most properties along the river share the gravel access road, but you will have your own private driveway in addition to the access road.

* Whole house generator- Stormy weather can knock out power in the mountains for days, our generator automatically kicks on and will power the entire cabin just like any other day.

* Steps to the river - need another beverage or forget the marshmallows for s’mores? No steep climb up multiple flights of stairs, and you are so close you can open the windows or your screened in porch and fall asleep to the sound of the rushing water.

* Winding mountain roads - part of the adventure is driving the twists and turns ; if you're not used to it just drive slowly and try to arrive during daylight. 4-wheel drive is helpful but not necessary.

**Why we love River Run cabin**

The winding drive through the mountains to the end of a gravel road lead you to a spot far away from busy city life, yet only 20 minutes from conveniences. We love to go down to touch the water and feel how cold it is, get a fire going, and catch up and laugh until we run out of firewood. On a hot day, we take the plastic Adirondack chairs and set them right in the river while we enjoy a cold beverage. Or bring a tube and go for a float right from your own patio, walk back and do it again. We do have two smart TVs, although we hardly ever watch them.

If we have already grilled out one night and want to go into town to eat, our favorite upscale restaurant is Butcher and Bottle. There is a charming town square with great shopping, a wine bar, and a new rooftop bar and restaurant with great views. There are plenty of casual options as well.

In the mornings, whoever gets up early makes the first pot of coffee and gets to enjoy some peace and quiet out on the porch swing while listening to the birds. You can even get some exercise in by walking the trail along the river which runs about a mile.

Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Hot tub: Guests should shower before using the hot tub. Do NOT go into the hot tub straight from the river, $50 fee If left exceptionally dirty
No smoking- $250 fine if cleaners detect smoking indoors and $50 fine for cigarette debris or damage outdoors.
Trash: all trash must be bagged and placed in outdoor cans, secured by bungee cord. Loose trash (beer cans, fast food bags etc.) will be $250 fine.

Majestic waterfront cabin

We absolutely loved our stay. We walked along the river everyday. Had a nice toasty fire going, watched movies and enjoyed the outdoors. The hot tub was very relaxing also.

The mountains are calling and so we must go!

We loved our cabin on the river. Our sons could fish daily, several times a day if they wanted. The cabin was perfect for our family and we look forward to hopefully booking it again in the future! The owner was wonderful in her communications and directions.

Great Getaway for Serenity! Location is Great... Just know the road to the cabin if you are not used to driving on Mountain Roads is only one lane, curvy, with blind spots and you definitely need 4 wheel drive. Once you load up on your groceries you can just enjoy the beautiful cabin and nature at its best!

Father son Trip

The property is even closer to the river then the pictures indicate. The owners are very friendly warm and welcoming. The property was very clean and in good overall condition. We saw a wild turkey, geese, deer, and even a raccoon. There is beauty all around and the property is quite tranquil and we do plan to return soon.

The property was excellent. We will definitely book again. Cabin was excellent. River and views were gorgeous. The ascent and decent to the cabin is wonderful! Make sure you have good breaks and your heart meds! Remember the deer own the place (roads) and that you're just visiting, break for them and enjoy their beauty. Great house by the river

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful riverside house in Ellijay, The location is absolutely stunning, with the river right next to the property providing a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. We loved spending time on the spacious deck, enjoying our morning coffee while listening to the sound of the water. The hot tub was a major highlight of our stay. It was the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring the nearby hiking trails. The outdoor area also includes a fire pit and a BBQ grill, making it ideal for evening gatherings and cookouts. Lauren was fantastic, providing clear instructions for check-in and check-out and responding quickly to any questions we had. I extremely recommend to follow her instructions how to get to the house.

We loved the house and the owner.. nice to sit outside or in the hot tub and listen to the river. The main problem we had was with the crazy driveway. Thank God there was another access (not great but better than the very steep driveway). I will love to go back but wont because of the driveway...

Peacful retreat

The property was beautiful and check in was easy. Make sure to use the listed directions! Google will get you there but unless you have four wheel drive please don't try Falcon trail. Follow the posted directions and you will be just fine. It was so clean and property gorgeous, my son road his bike for hours on the trail along the creek. We did arrive about sundown and I do definitely recommend as stated in the listing its better to arrive during daytime hours. It is a bit of a trek to get back to town so when we stay here again ( and Id definitely love to) I will plan on bringing all of the food and maybe just going to Blue Ridge ir something for a day and hang at cabin the rest of the time. These arent complaints by any means, just some suggestions I noted for myself. I could have sat and stared at the water and did nothing else, the creek and cabin are just beautiful! We really enjoyed the hot tub especially after a day of hiking!

River Review!

We were very disappointed in some ways; for instance there was no TV in the cabin except in the bedrooms. To us, that is very inconvenient. We do not watch TV in bed. There were many shows that we wanted to watch but the den had no TV which is very unacceptable. The outside was not very well manicured. There had been no mowing or anything to make it attractive. We just feel that for the amount of money we paid that the property should have been better. The AC was not working for two days and the owner was very nice about it and gave us $175 to make up for the 80 degrees that it was registering when we tried to go to sleep. She got the maintenance man to come out and he repaired the unit. Another disappointment was there were no fans on the porch at all. That would have been nice to sit under the fan and enjoy the river. Overall, in the future, we will look elsewhere for some property more suitable to our liking.

Beautiful View

Lauren was an absolute joy to deal with. She was very responsive and helpful answering all of my questions before I even started the booking process. The cabin was steps away from the beautiful water. The kitchen was very well stocked with lots of spices, cooking oils, pans, etc. The house was very clean and well organized. The hot tub was delivered the day we arrived so it was very nice to be the first ones to enjoy it. It was so relaxing at night to be able to sit outside in the cool air and enjoy the hot water massaging us. We would love to visit this property again!

We live in Atlanta (Smyrna) and bought River Run to enjoy and escape from the city, and to build lasting memories with friends and family. Ron is a West Point graduate and army veteran, and Lauren graduated from James Madison University.

Why they chose this property

This cabin has the perfect amount of space for couples, families or friends to spend time together. The view and sound of the water rushing is instantly relaxing, and being in Coosawattee Resort offers great amenities like indoor/outdoor pools, tennis courts, fitness center and beautiful parks. Downtown Ellijay is only about 15-20 minutes drive, and we love going to Butcher and Bottle Restaurant for a special meal or just browsing the unique shops.

What makes this property unique

It is rare to find a cabin with direct riverfront access right outside your door, and even more unique to have your own private driveway access versus driving along the narrow gravel road along the water. Add in tasteful mountain decor and a firepit on the river and you have found the perfect getaway.
