This lake front home was absolutely breathtaking!!! My family and I had a wonderful weekend making lots of memories together that we will cherish in the years to come. We are also looking forward to staying at this location again. Each of us enjoyed fishing, kayaking, roasting marshmallows, and playing ping-pong. There is so much to do here and it is perfect for all ages.
Michelle's home was absolutely beautiful! The home has everything you need! We had a few house maintenance issues come up, but Michelle was extremely responsive and prompt in helping to remedy them.We plan to return next summer!
Wonderful property with good amenities and a lovely view - even in the winter. Owner Michelle was incredibly responsive when we had a slight issue - great communication. Would highly recommend this place and will book again in the future.
We thoroughly enjoyed our Lakefront Escape! The house was clean and had a wonderful covered porch to view the beautiful lake rain or shine! But what put this experience over the top was the host’s thoughtfulness. Outside there was a dock where we were able to dock our boat rental. There were also kayaks that we used to further explore the lake along with life jackets. On the inside there were board games, a ping pong table, a pac man arcade game all of which our family enjoyed. Not to mention the many thoughtful touches that Michelle included that really made us feel at home. In addition Michelle was very responsive and communicative. Would definitely recommend!!
We all enjoyed our stay at the lake house. From grandparents to teenagers. A big plus for us was that everything was on 1 level and we were able to bring our dogs. The boat dock is a great addition that allowed us to rent a boat for a few days and enjoy exploring the lake. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. Would definitely return for another lake vacation.
We spent Thanksgiving here to give our 5 kids a shorter drive for the holiday. We had such a great time in spending time together in this beautiful house. The lake was very low, but we weren't expecting to spend time in the lake anyway. We played ping pong, played darts, took some lovely hikes around the neighborhood and nearby trails. We would come back for sure.
The house was beautiful… extremely clean and very well laid out. Owner made the check in process very easy and was great to communicate with. The amenities in the house were just as stated, plenty of plates and dishes, pots and pans to do all the cooking and eating that our family loves to do. The kayaks and tubes available were well- loved by our teenage boys. The dock was fantastic for our boats and late evening swimming. The gentle sloping hill allowed my 75 year old mom get to the boats easily, have her privacy and go out on the lake with us. She loved watching her grandkids play around at the dock and fish. The deck was fantastic for gathering of the family and just enjoying the view. There was plenty of parking in the driveway for our two trucks and trailers. Boat dock was easy to launch. Thanks for sharing your house with our family. We absolutely loved our trip!
The layout of the house was great for our family. Everything was on one floor with the bedrooms and living room on the opposite ends of the house was great for earlier kid bed times.
The house had recently renovated finishes with nice, appliances. The bed in the master was very comfortable and the shower water pressure was fantastic.
My main criticism is less with the house so much as the lake/town. The shore of the lake was a bit rocky and more dirt than sand. I think with older kids it would have been fine, but our kids are both younger. We ended up doing more day trips than hanging on the lake as a result.
There wasn’t much to do in the immediate surrounding area but we ended up doing day trips to Pigeon forge (~45 mins) and Knoxville (~30 mins). There was a decent strip of restaurants/ice cream shops in Madisonville as well (~20 mins).
Michelle was a great host and was able to get us into the house early.
We loved the set up of the home. Everything was neat and well-furnished. The kitchen was amazingly well-stocked with dishes, pans, spices, Keurig & k-cups, and the host provided a nice bottle of wine. The bathrooms were updated, had plenty of towels and good toilet paper, and had amazing water pressure. The game room was fun; we played darts, Pac-Man, and ping pong for hours! The balcony had plenty of patio furniture, fun outdoor string lighting, and a grill. The grounds were beautiful and well-lit at night. The views of the lake from most rooms in the ranch style home were breathtaking. The sunset we witnessed on the first evening there was the most beautiful we have ever seen. We would definitely to stay in this rental lake home again!!!
We had a great stay! We had our family and another. All teenagers. The place had all the amenities and a step above. We ran out of coffee and the house had us backed up. We always bring our own spices and towels as well and the place had that too. The kayaks were great and the cove by the house was great for fishing and exploring. The new dock was easy to use with our boat. The cove was quiet and peaceful. The covered porch was great when we had rain and just played games. We really enjoyed our stay and the host was easy to communicate with and responded quickly.
Our family had a wonderful vacation staying at this comfy home. The beds were comfortable & had soft linens. The kitchen was stocked with cooking supplies, tupperware for leftovers, spices & even had an air fryer! Beautiful deck with a giant grill overlooking the lake. Our family played ping pong nightly and had so much fun! Michelle was very responsive to all of our questions & needs! Highly recommend this lovely, comfy home!
We absolutely enjoyed our time at this lake house!!! The house is close to a boat ramp. So, it was extremely easy to get our boats into the water and around the cove to the house. The dock had plenty of space to secure two boats, store our stand up paddle boards, small floating island and still had plenty of space to cannonball into the lake. There was an abundance of indoor and outdoor space to relax and enjoy family activities together.
The sunset views were gorgeous and the lake wasn’t busy, even on the weekend!
Michelle was very prompt and thorough in all of her communication with us. Will definitely keep this house on our list of vacation spots!
You will not be disappointed. Michelle has thought of everything. What a wonderful host. She is super responsive to emails. The home and property are very well appointed. And very clean. Beds are extremely comfortable. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Very large deck. Great view of lake and sunset. Thank you for a fantastic week.
We had a fantastic time with family from Ohio, Texas and Massachusetts, ages 7 to 96. There was lots of room for the 11 of us. The 4 kids loved the bunk bed room and everyone enjoyed the kayaks.
It was a short drive to the marina, where we rented a pontoon boat for a day, and the grocery store. Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg were not far away.
Michelle was very prompt in answering any questions we had. If we are ever going to that area, I wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

Great Lake
Lake was amazing. House was older but had many updates making it comfortable and enjoyable. The back porch and kayaks/paddle boards were used daily. We had a rough start due to prior guest activity but the owner worked hard to get us comfortable and enjoying our stay as quickly as possible, which we did. Thank you!
Our family of 4 enjoyed this property. The home was really clean and well maintained. All the amenities of home. The 4 bedrooms were great and our nieces came to visit for a night and the bedroom with the bunk beds worked out perfectly. Unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate, so we didn’t get to enjoy the kayaks and paddle boards much. We did find hiking in Panther Creek State Park which was very close by. We did have some sunshine on the last day and rented a pontoon boat and went tubing. The lake was quiet and not crowded. We also spent some time driving a little over an hour to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We had a great time and thank you for sharing your property with us.
Great layout for our larger group of 7. The separation of the kitchen area and bedrooms was nice. The house was very clean. A bit of slope to the water but manageable even for the grandparents. The kayaks and paddleboards got used daily. A boat ramp is close by and we kept our boat at the shoreline. Owners were very responsive and accommodating.
Recently renovated house right on Cherokee Lake with nice amenities. The house was clean, the furniture and beds were very comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked with all of the gadgets and features we needed. We also enjoyed the kayaks, paddle boards, inner tubes, life vests, and corn hole set that was provided. The location is at the south end of Cherokee Lake (which is huge), and thus we did spend quite a bit of time in the car traveling to points of interest around the lake (state parks, marinas, shopping) however that also meant that the neighborhood the house is located is very quiet and relaxing. We barely saw anyone else around when we were at the house.

Rental smelled very old and not clean
I could tell remodeling was being done, but, the basement stairs was an issue, almost fell. No carpet in the house, wet kids slipping around the floor. It smelled like it had been closed up for awhile, didn't smell like any kind of sanitizer or bleach... The vents were disgusting. Dangerous back deck for kids. The ping pong table shouldn't have been that close to the basement, kids almost fell down the stairs. The only thing that was ok, was the kayaks and the lake. Spider webs and cob webs when you open the sliding doors in the living room. The doors were very outdated. Washer and dryer outdated. Sliding screens need replacement. We really didn't even stay in the house, I think I might as well of pitched a tent in the back yard. House was not ready by no means to be rented. Husband is very disappointed especially for the price. That was ridiculous.
