This place is AWESOME!

This is secluded and quiet. Outdoor shower and hot tub is amazing. Big enough property to walk around. Great place to unplug and focus on what’s important. This is now one of our favorite go to places!

My wife and I loved this place. All the amenities provided were above and beyond. I have nothing negative to say about this place, we were able to rest, cook, and just spend quality time with each other. The light that came through the windows in the morning and the sun going down in the evening was so beautiful. Thank you for our peaceful stay !! We will be back !!!

Overall, we had a really nice time staying here, though with several disappointing facets:- Location: The listing literally says "Located in Dobson". The map shows it being in/near Dobson. In reality, this property is a 20min drive outside of Dobson (I suppose technically it's got a Dobson zip code). Feels deceptive.- Coffee Maker: There was old moldy grounds in the hopper, so no coffee for us this weekend.- Hot tub: In the guide we read upon arrival, it said it would be on and set to 95* and that the temperature could be adjusted to the visitors liking. When we went out to it, we found it was unplugged and completely cold. We weren't sure whether this meant something was wrong with it. A hot tub was a critical part of selecting this listing, but I didn't want to be responsible for plugging in something that might be broken.- Kitchen: The listing says there is a "full kitchen". Buried down in the "See all amenities" section of the listing it does state that by "Stove" there is a 2-burner counter-top stove, but no oven. This and the limited available pots made it impossible to cook the special dinner we planned. I suppose this one is on me for not checking the fine print, but "full kitchen" in the description feels deceptive.- Lady bugs: By the end of the weekend, the floor near the windows was littered with dead ladybugs. They were regularly crawling on us and the couch. It was rather yucky.- The living room was uncomfortably bright with no window coverings.

Many homes in our area are tucked into the countryside for privacy and mountain views, and driving distances can vary depending on a guest’s starting point. • Kitchen: The listing notes all kitchen details, including the 2-burner cooktop, and we also highlight that the home includes multiple options such as a microwave, air fryer, outdoor grill, and other small appliances. We try to be as transparent as possible so guests can plan meals accordingly. • Hot Tub & Coffee Maker: Had we known about the coffee maker or that the hot tub appeared unplugged, our team would have immediately looked into both items. We deeply encourage guests to reach out during their stay so we can assist right away. • Seasonal Ladybugs: Ladybugs are common visitors in the mountains during certain times of year. Our cleaners always remove them prior to arrival, but they can reappear. We apologize if this impacted your stay. • Window Coverings: The living room has large picture windows designed to highlight the views, and the brightness can vary throughout the day. Secluded new construction created specifically for couples

The Good: Quiet and private. The drive up is beautiful. Everything is brand new. Hot tub perfect for 2 people. Indoor soaking tub is nice. 10-15 minute drive to Vineyards (Round Peak and Serre) and walking/biking trails (Fisher River Park) and grocery stores (in Dobson). The Bad: the directions to the residence are wrong (wrong address, wrong side of street). There was little information and pictures beforehand to know what to expect (coffee machine? What kind? Cooking utensils? Stove top? Etc). I didn’t receive any directions or wifi password or how to get into the community or residence until I emailed the owner on the day of our stay, and I didn’t get email back until after our check-in time. There were no napkins or paper towels in the residence. There is no dishwasher, and no directions about what to do with dirty dishes at checkout. The are no blinds or curtains on the large window in the bedroom, which would be fine because the place is so secluded, but there is a bright streetlamp right by the window, so it is very bright all night long. There was a regular coffee maker and a Keurig, but no coffee or tea. There are lots of fans and lights and some kind of plug-in mood rock device and some kind of plug-in rock sphere with water feature and other devices that have no explanation of what they do or how to use them. I never got the gas logs figured out. Also, there is still more landscaping to be done, but not a big deal. Overall, it can be a really special place to spend a weekend with a partner. It is a new place, so I expect some errors of omission at first. I would be happy to offer my thoughts to the owners, but they never asked for any feedback after our stay (we had to be one of the first couples to stay there, since their directions were incorrect and i had to unwrap some of the devices in the home to use them). I find this strange. Once they get some kinks figured out, I would have no complaints!

Hi Will, Thank you for choosing our new A-Frame for your getaway. We hope you enjoyed your time and made great memories! I took a look at the directions included on the listing and they are correct. We do mention two addresses and indicate which one is to reach the general mountain as it is recognized by Maps and which one is the physical address of this particular home. As a new property, the platforms don’t all recognize it just yet. However, the notes on how to reach the home once you’ve passed the gate are correct. I apologize if you found them unclear. We recommend guests contact us by phone if they have any trouble with this. As for the amenities, specifically in the kitchen, we do have the appliances checked off on the listing to include the countertop cooking stove, coffee makers, toaster, microwave, refrigerator, and BBQ grill. Not sure if you took a look at the amenities section prior to traveling. We do not have a dishwasher at the house as this is considered a tiny home with just essential appliances for guests to enjoy their getaway. If the check-out process was not uploaded at the time of your stay, I apologize as standard procedure would be to just leave the dishes washed with the provided sponge and soap. Unfortunately, we do not provide coffee, tea, or any food items as that is a matter of guest’s preference. We have since added a curtain to the bedroom window to assist with the light at night. We initially liked the idea of the open views but understand how some may find it a bother. Your reservation was one of the first as the home was completed in early fall and during this time of year, it is difficult to put in new landscape although we had started and it was probably already drying out at the time of your visit. Summer and Spring are great seasons to visit if you are looking for more greenery and flowers! Our contact information is available email and phone to our guests at all times!
