This apartment is located in a former farmhouse that has been converted into beautiful apartments. You are here near the ancient small town of Volterra (4 km), which has an Etruscan origin, and where also a beautiful medieval town center can still be admired. Although the town is small, it is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Tuscany! Ideal for nature-loving holidaymakers. Crib/chair available upon request. See also ITN101-ITN102-ITN198-ITN199 in the same complex. For a day at the beach, the sandy beaches of Cecina are about 40 km away.

Kleine Wohnung in großartiger Umgebung
Diese Bewertung bezieht sich auf Appartamento Iris, die kleinste der 4 Wohnungen, die in diesem umgebauten alten Landgut angeboten werden. Zur Talseite (nord-ost) liegt sie im Erdgeschoss, zur Hangseite im Untergeschoss. Die angegebene Größe (39 qm) ist nach dem italienischen Regeln gemessen (mit den Mauern, die sehr dick sind): real ist die Wohnung wohl etwa 25 qm groß/klein. Uns hat es absolut genügt, selbst für unseren 14-tägigen Aufenthalt, denn wann immer das Wetter es erlaubt (und das war auch im Oktober noch oft der Fall), spielt sich das Leben ohnehin im Freien ab. Die Bauweise bringt es mit sich, dass Schlafzimmer und Bad in den hinteren Teilen (de facto Kellerräume) schimmelanfällig sind, und darauf geachtet werden muss (sowohl vom Vermieter als auch vom Urlauber). Die Ausstattung der Küche ist sehr knapp bemessen, und da es an Geräten nur 4 (Gas-)Kochplatten und eine Kaffeemaschine gibt, hätten wir uns zumindest noch eine Mikrowelle (mit Grill) gewünscht. Die Möblierung ist durchaus hochwertig (Lampenschirme aus Moranoglas, Waschbecken Pierre Cardin). Im Übrigen spiegeln die Fotos exakt die Gegebenheiten wider.
Im Garten wachsen alle erdenklichen Kräuter und Früchte, z. B, Trauben oder Kakis, die wir pflücken und genießen durften. Die Eigentümer pflegen die Anlage liebevoll und kompetent, und waren unauffällig und sehr hilfsbereit präsent. Wie in Italien üblich kosten Bettwäsche und Handtücher extra. Erstklassiges Olivenöl (vom Besitzer hergestellt) kostet 10 € pro Liter - wir haben einige Flaschen mitgenommen...
Es lässt sich trefflich streiten, wo die Toskana am schönsten ist: die Bergstadt Volterra (ca. 5 km entfernt) gehört sicher zu den besten Plätzen. Dort gibt es Supermärkte (Coop und Conad) und empfehlens- und preiswerte (nicht unbedingt billige) Restaurants gibt es in der Umgebung reichlich. Die zentrale Lage erlaubt Tagesausflüge, z.B nach Pisa oder an den Trasimenischen See auf den Spuren Hannibals.
Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen und werden wiederkommen.

Un accueil chaleureux de la part des propriétaires, explications données dans un excellent français qui permet une compréhension mutuelle.
La propriété est magnifique, au calme, ensoleillée, possédant une vue privilégiée sur les collines environnantes. Piscine et ses alentours très agréables. Toutes les commodités à 10 minutes.
On regrettera néanmoins que le ménage laisse à désirer et que les toilettes ne fonctionnent qu'à condition qu'on leur jette un seau d'eau à chaque utilisation.
Propriété un peu compliquée à trouver lorsqu'on arrive de Pise (les informations fournies partent du principe que l'on arrive de la direction de san Gimignano)

Sehr schön, empfehlenswert & preisgünstig.
Die Anlage ist hübsch und freundlich, schön gelegen. Vermieter sehr nett. Pool und drumherum super! Das nahe Volterra ist wirklich sehenswert, die Toscana ja sowieso.
