The location was great: close to the water, nature, restaurants, and nearby towns. The cottage was off a busy road, but nestled in a tiny community of several other cottages. We loved how the property was pet friendly

The WiFi did not work well. So the TV just kept spinning when we tried to watch. Other than that everything was good!

We had spectrum come out but there was an outage in wells that week do to upgrading underground they are doing. Thank god it is finally fixed.

The location was reasonably clean but there were spider webs in many of the corners. The toilets worked horribly and one did not flush well at all. We had trouble with both of them flushing at times. Not sure what was going on, but they definitely need to be looked at. The location was good but very noisy because of traffic.

We just replaced the toilet in the first bathroom and if you were having problems flushing the 2 nights you stayed we would have addressed it right away as the next renters came in and did tell us and unfortunately roots grow into the pipes, we had the pipes cleared out by a drain company and everything was flushing like new within 30 minutes. As far as the noise, it’s summer on Rte1 in vacation land. Communication is everything!

Wonderful Cottage and Great Hosts!

I stayed in Wells for a couple days to relax and it was perfect. The cottage is super clean, and it was easy to communication with the hosts. The property is close to great food, grocery stores, and a short driv to the beach. Absolutely would stay there again. The cottages are quintessential Maine!

Mother’s Day Get Away

As always, we had a great stay! Excellent communication with the host, love that it is centrally located so you can walk to restaurants and beach. This is our goto place when we are in Maine!

Good location, close to beach, shops snd restaurants. Not the cleanest but stocked with things one would need. Full kitchen. Had a bathroom issue where flushing toilet backed up into shower stall. Owner called plumber promptly and issue taken care of. Pretty clear system needs work. No compensation offered for inconvenience. Instead we heard from owner about how old cabins were and she referred to it as money pit! This did not instill confidence in wanting to return to these particular cabins. When we registered I stated we had a dog and when it was suggested to tell little bit about ourselves I said we were two people in 80’s traveling with our 56 year old daughter and little Shih Tzu and were quiet folks. After we returned home we got notice from owner she was giving our credit card number to VRBO for dog charge as dogs are not free there! We were shocked as had assumed that had all been passed on from VRBO to owner and was included in original payment. After our saying that if seemed an issue between owner and VRBO since had been up front in dog coming owner finally dropped the issue. Owner referred to her ownership as being new but I do not consider 5 years THAT new! All of this including the owner over-sharing condition off place dropped to a mediocre rating of 3.

These people wrote they were bringing their dog but never added the dog to their reservation, so I added it for them which Vrbo sent a request which they refuse to pay. They continued to message me that it’s Vrbo problem let them pay for it as Vrbo never charged them to begin with. The plumbing had an issue and yes we had it fixed immediately and I did share that owning older cottages requires a lot of money to keep them up as we do. They left that cottage a total pig stigh and I would never have such rude inconsiderate people rent ever again. Never paid for pet and left the place a disgusting mess!

Cozy cottage near restaurants and beach

The cottage was perfect for our family of four and our dog. Two beds, two little baths, and full kitchen. We loved the 2 screened patios, and the owners are great too!

Had a very difficult first night but talked to owner about making a change and he was most accommodating. Rest of the trip went very well. We wiil think seriously about returning for another trip next year if circumstances make it possible

Wonderful stay, great location

The cottage was very clean and cozy, perfect for our family and dog. The location is convenient to the beach and right across the street from Congdons Donuts and other restaurants. Everything was easy peasy and the owners were very responsive when we needed fresh linens. Made for a very relaxing vacation!
