Our newly remodeled 2-bedroom, 400 sf guest suite has its own entrance, self-check-in, and all the comforts of a boutique hotel suite.
Guest washer and dryer!
Granite Hill is a 5-minute drive from all-weather State Route 140 and 42 minutes from the Yosemite Arch Rock Entrance. The Yosemite Area Rapid Transit (YARTS) stop in Midpines is only 8 minutes away, and it’s a short 12-minute drive into Mariposa.
Granite Hill is a modern contemporary, sparkling clean space, which is beautifully decorated and boasts rustic furniture pieces milled from locally felled pine trees. Luxurious 100% long staple cotton bed sheets and 100% hygro cotton bath towels are all washed in hypoallergenic laundry detergent.
Our goal is to provide you a comfortable and enjoyable, private stay.
The guest suite includes 1 queen bed in the living room, and a queen bed in the bedroom.
BBQ grill with cooking utensils, foil and spices.
We are diligent in our efforts to maintain the highest level of cleanliness possible. All washable items in the guest suite are exchanged and washed between guests, and all pillows are double cased.
You will have your own private suite, with a full bathroom a separate entrance, and two dedicated parking spaces for guests. Mariposa had 2 grocery stores, numerous restaurants, a laundry mat, and multiple gas stations.
The guest suite is attached to the owner’s home. The owner has a small dog that may bark when you arrive or depart. The dog resides in a separate yard and does not have access to the front of the home, the parking area or the entrance to the guest suite. Dogs may also bark at night at local wildlife. The owner has very friendly cats that also roam the property freely.
Our Neighborhood:
Our home is located in a rural portion of Mariposa County. We live a quiet, country life. Town is about a 12 minute drive from the guest suite, which is very typical for our area.
Indian Rock Lane is a dead end, 1/4 mile long dirt/gravel road easily passable with any vehicle. Our driveway is the 4th one on the right. DIrt/gravel roads are very common in Mariposa County.
The Yosemite Arch Rock Entrance is about 45 minutes from the guest suite, which is a better than average drive time for most vacation rentals in Mariposa County.
We have a property gate to keep neighboring dogs and goats from entering our property and to keep deer from eating our landscaping.j

My husband and I love to stay at vacation rentals when we travel. With our kids grown and out of the house, we turned two bedrooms of our home into a separate guest suite for travelers visiting Yosemite. I work for the National Park Service.
