Lovely garden, very small property with some inconveniences
The garden was lovely and big and our daughter loved the swing. Good space for off road parking. Unfortunately there was no outside tap to rinse off beach stuff and the garden gates very stiff on one side and kept unhinging.
The house is a little wooden chalet of 36m2, the kitchen/living area was fine. the bedrooms are tiny with little storage and low plastic ceilings which made them feel more like a mobile home and got very stuffy in the night.
The bathroom is also tiny and when the window is open you can’t reach the sink. Also, the drain of the shower doesn’t work properly, which meant that you had to pause the water during your shower as it would otherwise overflow. We alerted the agency who reacted promptly but sadly the owner said it was a known problem and no action was taken. It was bothersome for three people to take showers after a beach day as you had to wait 15 minutes each time before it drained and the next person could go into the shower.
Cleanliness was ok but a lot of cobwebs in the higher ceilings/wooden beams of main area and under the master bedroom bed/corners of the bed/bedside tables.
The agency (hoomy) was brilliant - quick and friendly communication, always on time. Communication with the owner beforehand was friendly but slow and not always responding to our messages on Vrbo.
Overall I probably wouldn’t return as I have stayed in other houses in the proximity of loctudy that offered more comfort for a similar price.
