My wife and our 2 pups had a wonderful stay at this cozy cottage. Perfect for a relaxing getaway with a great water view. It's perfect for couples. Contact with the host was easy and very personable. We hope to return.

We enjoyed the location of the cozy cottage. The inside of the place was very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. The outside needs sone TLC for the weeds and outside furniture.

Cute cottage where you can wake up to sunrise on the Chesapeake Bay! Great place to stay, cozy inside, clean and comfortable. Good size and function for a family getaway. Nice backyard space to be outside by the water. Picnic table for eating crabs, hot tub and firepit to enjoy at night. Front yard has a swing set for kids. Parking for three cars. Would visit again!

Quiet, peaceful, bay location

Excellent and clean interior, kayaks are a plus, hot tub a plus, great spot to get away and just stare at the water, lol. We had a thunder storm while we were there and got an amazing light show!

A wonderful place...

My wife and I enjoyed the peacefulness of this waterside cottage. The views were fantastic and the location is so convenient to several small towns. We will definitely consider staying here again!

Perfect place to get away and relax by the bay. Awesome waterfront access made paddle boarding a breeze! Everything was beautiful and the outside amenities made enjoying the view even better.

Backyard outside river view was incredible and cottage was cute. BUT . . . it was infested with ants particularly in the kitchen and bathroom. The outside cushions (not the same ones in the pictures) are in bad shape and had spider webs all over them. Hot tub had dirty filters and the cover was moldy. No outside light in front. Landscape over grown. No closets in two of the bedrooms. Only one hand towel avaliable unlike the picture.Highly disappointed.

What is particularly disappointing is that during your stay and in our direct communications, you repeatedly indicated that you were happy with the property and enjoying your visit. It was only after checkout, when your request for a refund related to circumstances outside of anyone’s control, including the natural outdoor environment along the river was declined, that these complaints suddenly appeared. As a waterfront cottage surrounded by nature, occasional insects, spiders, and outdoor debris can occur despite regular cleaning and maintenance. Had any concerns been reported during your stay, we would have gladly addressed them immediately, as we do for all guests. We take constructive feedback seriously and continuously invest in maintaining and improving the property. However, we believe future guests should know that the concerns raised in this review were not communicated while the guest was on-site and only surfaced after a refund request was denied. We encourage potential guests to review our many other reviews, which provide a more complete picture of the experience we strive to offer.

Lovely spot at the head of the Chesapeake

Charming place with several private sleeping areas. My favorite was the screened in porch. Pet friendly and literally right on the water. Close to the small town of Charlestown. Play equipment for children. I didn't use the hot tub but it was conveniently already heated.
