About this property
Magnificent Views of Pikes Peak
This 4 bedroom mountain home is nestled among the pine and aspen trees - perfect for family gatherings, relaxation, and viewing wildlife. Enjoy more of the outdoors in the Tea House.
The raised main level captures the beautiful nature of Colorado with it's two towering walls of windows, which bring the Colorado scenery into your home. The 2-story soaring rock and pine fireplace is a cozy and relaxing way to end a long but fabulous day of sightseeing. The beautiful granite kitchen is fully equipped with everything needed to cook for a large party or a small romantic meal. For your convenience, some basic ingredients and spices are provided and multiple grocery stores and Wal-Mart are just a few minutes drive into town.
Just beyond the kitchen and dining room is a picturesque deck complete with patio furniture and gourmet gas grill. The deck is the perfect place to spend the day relaxing, reading, visiting, or simply enjoying the gorgeous blue Colorado skies. Wildlife sightings from the deck regularly include deer, fox, chipmunks, curious squirrels, the Colorado black squirrel and dozens of species of birds such as stellar jays, hummingbirds, woodpeckers, and many other songbirds. There's also been elk and a mama and baby bear sighted last summer. Complete your day relaxing on the deck while gazing on the brilliance of Colorado's starry sky.
Ample sleeping accommodations for up to 10 Guests with 4 bedrooms and 3 bath rooms - one on each level. The spacious master bedroom is located on the upper level with soaring ceilings and pocket doors that close for total privacy or open to overlook the wall of windows. The king sized bed has a top quality pillow top mattress and luxurious linens. The private 5 piece master bath has a soaking tub and shower complete for your stay. The main level of the house has two bedrooms with queen size beds each and a full bath. The lower level bedroom includes a queen bed with a pillow top mattress and another 3/4 bathroom. Additionally, the lower level includes a family room/media center with a sleeper sofa for up to 2 Guests.
This private home is superbly located in Woodland Park. The one acre lot has lots of aspen and pine trees but is still close enough to town to make it convenient for shopping and heading into the sights of Colorado Springs. Hiking trails are at your doorstep and just across the street is the Paradise Open Space at the base of the Rampart Range and Pike National Forest. Also Kings Crown Trailhead is just 0.2 miles down the road for short hikes. There are also many hiking options available a short drive away whether you are looking for a leisurely stroll near mountain streams or a challenging hike up a 14,000 foot mountain.
