Very comfortable, clean, quiet house in a beautiful country setting. It has everything anyone could need.Communication with host was straight forward, easy and enjoyable.
The house, property and location are phenomenal. The owner was very communicative and left all the instructions to stay in the house. The beauty of the grounds and area were exceptional. The house was just as beautiful.
We came to stay while caring for my Mom. Dorothy was wonderful with communication. The property was absolutely beautiful and served as a place of tranquility, rest and peace during a visit that required us to manage a number of stressful situations. We were so thankful for it. The gardens and grounds in particular were lively to wake up and sit in with a cup of coffee. The beds were comfortable and restful, there were a number of places to sit and relax and the kids enjoyed the room to watch a movie in. Highly recommend.
An amazing home with lots of privacy and ample wildlife viewing. We never turned on the TV in two weeks, enjoying the home and yard's ambiance instead. The house has everything one needs to cook a fancy dinner or grill a burger or two. This wasn't a vacation with a frenetic pace. Nearby are beaches to explore, conservation areas to walk, and sunsets to view. If you're looking to decompress, this is the place for you.
This was a lovely spot for a sit-down dinner for 10. We were celebrating my husband's 80th birthday and the newly renovated kitchen and dining area are well set up for a formal meal with buffet. The meadow and the patio are divine and nature is alive. Note there are coyotes in the Southcoast areas so guests are advised to pay close attention to any pets or children outside. We will return!
Our stay was great. I was traveling with my husband and four children to visit family, and there was plenty of space. The layout was very functional, and the yard was so beautiful. We would definitely stay here again.
If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing, clean and ovwrall reallt nice place to stay, this is it. We xouldnt have asked for better and it was super hard to leave! Book it, youll thank me later. And youre welcome!
We greatly enjoyed our time in Little Compton at this lovely home. The house is comfortable and spacious, the pastoral views are inimitable. Little Compton itself is a quiet corner of Rhode Island, and its lack of "action" is not for everyone, but it was perfect for us. And this well-appointed home was a delightful base of operations. The owner is a generous, gracious host who answered any questions quickly, check-in process was easy.
Beautiful property, cozy home; all kitchen necessities available; all amenities in place as advertised. Enjoyed a lovely Thanksgiving there. Would definitely reserve again.
The house was perfect for gathering family for Christmas and spending time together in this beautiful town. Dorothy was wonderful and welcoming! Thank you!
House and Little Compton were lovely, one of our best VRBO rentals. My husband and I had a wonderful 5 night stay with his sister and brother-in-law. House was super comfortable, it had beautiful grounds (enjoyed the wildflower plantings) and all necessities were provided. Host was receptive and very accommodating even providing us with directions for local walks and birding. If you like history, the Little Compton Historical Society right down the road is a must see. Not a lot of restaurants, stores etc in the area but that was just fine with us. Newport and Providence are less than an hour drive away. Would love to stay here again some day.
I recently had the pleasure of renting this outstanding home, which far exceeded my expectations in every way! The property's online listing doesn't do it justice - the actual house is truly amazing! The house was impeccably organized, making it easy to settle in. The beds were exceptionally comfortable, ensuring restful nights' sleep. Additionally, the expansive backyard served as a perfect pet-friendly haven for my furry companion. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend this property for a top-notch rental experience. I'll definitely book this house again for future stays! Rating: 5/5 Stars.
Where do I start! Dorothy the host was great at all communication, Beautiful property! All rooms were clean & spotless ! Bedrooms have nice natural light and the host provided sets of towels in each bedroom! When i first saw this listing I was skeptical because the rate was too good to be true but it's just as described! such a lovely area too! About 40 mins from Newport mansions and downtown Newport ! We were a group of girlfriends in our 60’s on a Girls trip - We would highly recommend!! You won’t be disappointed!!
When I first rented this spot, I thought it might just be too good to be true but I was wrong. This beautiful home is incredibly comfortable. It is obviously well cared for and well loved. The owner couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. She even unexpectedly reimbursed us over a minor inconvenience which occurred through no fault of her own. I don't believe the interior photos even begin to do this lovely home justice. The open concept central living area looks and steps out to a large stone patio which offers a completely private and unobstructed view of the pastoral landscaped lawn and trees, well-appointed stone walls, and meadows beyond. It is lovely. Don't even get me started on the fireplace in the living room. Being mid-October, we had a few cold damp days and the "no muss, no fuss" hearth brought us all together and made our time in the house even more magical. Who doesn't love a nice warming fire to gather round? The kitchen has everything and a truly silent dishwasher, perfect in an open concept home. Just off the kitchen, you'll find the butler's pantry and full walkin pantry. Need I say more? My elderly mother was 100% content with her first floor accomodations. Upstairs, the two private wings answered the rest of our family's needs perfectly. A small den off the main room gave us yet another place to gather for a movie and from the den, you can step outside to a small wisteria roofed sanctuary with lovely views of field and garden. Thank you, Dorothy!
