Country Manor Escape

Our party of 7 included five adults (18-75) and two children (7 and 15). The "Beehive Guest House" was perfect for our visit to Rhode Island. The house itself was roomy and well decorated with an updated kitchen and lovely pantry. The kitchen is well appointed and the two full baths and one half bath were very convenient. Our favorite room was the sun room where we all gathered in the late afternoon to enjoy the warm setting sun. The bedrooms were plentiful and although the beds were firmer than we are used to, no one complained and everyone slept comfortably. There were plenty of blankets for the cold, windy nights. The kids loved the "hidden" staircase from the laundry room to the master suite. The main stair was a bit tricky for the youngest and oldest so the alternative stairway was appreciated. We made use of the laundry facilities and although the washer and dryer were older, both functioned properly. The outside area was gorgeous and we were sad to leave before the gardens bloomed. The only issue we had was the wi-fi. There was very little cell service inside the house so wi-fi was necessary. It did go out for a day, but our host, Jenny, responded quickly to our text and we resolved the issue together. We never walked to the cafe and shops down the street due to time, but they are on our list for our next stay. We all loved our vacation at the Beehive and plan to stay again.

Historic, comfortable, beautiful gem!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming historic house! The house was not only full of character but also incredibly comfortable and well-stocked with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The kitchen had all the essentials, and we loved the cozy living spaces that made it easy to unwind after a day of exploring. The location is perfect—tucked away in a peaceful, picturesque community that offers a real sense of tranquility. It's quiet, with lovely surroundings, the stone walls and fields offer such a peaceful landscape, but still just a short drive to beautiful beaches, which made it easy to enjoy the best of both worlds. We especially appreciated the thoughtful touches throughout the house—everything from plush towels to the small but meaningful details that showed the owners really care about their guests' comfort. Whether you're looking for a quiet retreat or a base to explore the area, this place is a gem. Highly recommend!

Perfect for our needs

Get together with Navy friends. Home was perfect for our needs. A lot of property outside. We brought our dog with us and she loved running freely on the property. House is an older home but well kept. We did have some issues with the WIFI and sent a message to the owner. She got back to us immediately to resolve the issue. Plenty of space in the downstairs for a party of 9.

Cute historic house

We went with 2 other familes. All had teens 14-17. Property was very nice and surrounding areas. Lots of places to visit. House was located on property with another house that the owners lived in. They greeted us upon arrival which was strange but she was very nice. We saw them from time to time which was fine. The microwave did not work but overall had everything you needed to stay and cook for a large group. Overall great time. lin. H

Awesome family vacation

This Little Compton home was the perfect home for our family vacation. The five cozy bedrooms, well-stocked kitchen, and welcoming indoor/outdoor spaces allowed our extended family of adults to spread out, relax, play games, share meals, read and spend good time together. Throughout our 10-day stay we biked the beautiful Little Compton roads, played tennis at nearby courts, ran, enjoyed wine/treats at the Sakonnet Winery, body surfed at local beaches, surfed at South Shore Beach, enjoyed a clambake dinner by Little Compton Clambakes, and hiked many nature/beach trails. The beauty of the location inspired us daily.

Vintage home in beautiful location

The views of expansive lawn and fields make this home a real treat, especially at sunset. We particularly enjoyed the sunroom and roof deck. It’s a short walk to the quaint town with a general store, tennis courts and nature trail. This is an older home with some antiquated amenities, though the kitchen and one bath are updated. Air conditioning is only in 2 rooms, not whole house, but we didn’t need it with the sea breezes. It was comfortable for our group of 6. The owner is pleasant and responsive. They live in the larger home on the property. Overall it was an enjoyable place to stay in Little Compton.

Home away from home

My friends and I have been staying in Jenny's lovely cottage for 8 years or more. It is perfect for us, the size, the layout, the amenities, and the area. This trip, we were talking about how much we love staying here, how it feels like home and how we still have so many things to discover in the area. Jenny is a wonderful host, personable and quick to respond. We got to chat with her in person this year which was a treat. She and her husband are delightful and they put a lot of effort in to the upkeep and renovations of the cottage, always with their guests comfort in mind. For a restorative, relaxing retreat, you cannot go wrong with this sweet cottage.

Great place for a girls weekend!

It was the perfect size, in a beautiful corner of Rhode Island. The house was a perfect size for the five of us, intimate, and delightfully antique in style. We congregated in the kitchen which was bright and well appointed. Plenty of parking, Jenny was a great communicator. All in all a very satisfying rental experience!

Beautiful location walking distance to town

My family came in from all over the United States to stay here during a local wedding. The grounds were absolutely gorgeous and steeped in history, the house fit us all very well, was comfortable, well equipped, and the beds made it easy to house kids/teens, and couples. The kitchen was great, the owner was very responsive and helpful. We absolutely love the side porch in the sitting area in the yard. Would stay there again.

Serene spot in LC

This house felt like a home right away- well stocked kitchen supplies, comfy beds and spots to relax throughout, nooks and crannies galore. We enjoyed the views from the porch so much, the quick walk into “town”, and the nearby beaches. Jenny was super responsive. Would love to return!

Peaceful and Quiet

Our stay here was great! It was peaceful, quiet and relaxing. Within a walking distance the property provided access to local pizza shop, art cafe, breakfast diner, and a small market. Within a 5-15 minute drive we were able to enjoy trails and community beaches. The properties kitchen was a good meeting spot for our family to meet and cook. The family room provided ample space for the kids to play, and the sun room provided an opportunity to watch amazing sun sets. The rustic feel to the property ensured that we slowed down and enjoy the tranquility of little Compton. Jennifer was a great host and provided immediate responses to any communications.
