Welcome to Josephine in the most sought after area in all of Denver - Cherry Creek North. Hotels 1 block south are $600+/night! The most incredible dining in this entire region of the country & shopping @ Cherry Creek Mall won't be beat. Night-life options abound at Little Ollies, Forget Me Not, Cherry Cricket, Quality Italian, Del Frisco's & more! 100mbps internet free for guest use. 1 dedicated free private parking space. Smoke/vape free inside & out. Minutes from Downtown, 30 to Red Rocks. Owner stays in the upstairs separate apartment with her rescue puppy and family and does work from home - we will encounter one another more than likely or hear one another on occasion :-) Please let us know if things are too noisy! We do our best to keep upstairs noise and voices to a minimum after 10p :-) Additionally something to keep in mind, owner's utility room is on the lower level outside the guest apartment. This home was built in the very early 1900's; one of the original homes in Cherry Creek! Old home charms alongside its quirks. Lower ceilings, creaky wood floors, amazing backyard you're welcome to share! I've made lots of updates over the years, however if you're noise sensitive, a light sleeper, etc this may not be the perfect place for you! Price is reflective of all of these things :-) However, I am always available and happy to accommodate guests as best I can at your request.

Nice, safe place.

In the area for a conference. Safe neighborhood, female traveling solo. 15 minute drive to the convention center (depending on construction.)Entrance was in the back (not on Josephine), so utalize the alley off of 5th for your parking spot. There is street parking on 5th too. There was a dog and small child upstairs so it did get noisy at times, but if you know that going in, it’s no real issue. Had to connect to the tennent, communication was smooth.

The tunnel

Our Uber getting there had great trouble finding the gate in the alley as there are no addresses or signs back there. (Can’t order food delivery either)It was narrow, dark and I hit my head on the low ceiling three times. There was no bedding for the pullout, which had a giant sunken area. (See pic) We hated it there so much we stayed at a hotel the second night.

Lovely, but some issues

The place itself was lovely, but it was extremely hard to find the entrance. There was no entrance from the street address side, and we had to figure out for ourselves that we needed to come in through an alley in back. The instructions said to use the 'guest parking' but it was not marked, and we were only able to figure out the house number because the number was on the garbage/recycling bins. Once we got inside, everything was very nice, but the wi-fi was non-functional, and contacting the host did not result in any action or apology about that.

Amazing location! Close to everything

First time staying in Denver. Sara was a great host; she gave recommendations on hikes, places to visit and spots to eat. The private entrance and parking spot made getting in and out very convenient. Even if we did not have a vehicle, the place was within walking distance to WholeFoods, coffee shops and places to eat and drink. Once inside, you'll find everything you need. Having Hulu on the smart TV was a bonus for our cherished downtime. There is plenty of storage space all over and the kitchen has everything you would need to feel at home. We never heard footsteps or any noises from above and felt comfortable the entire time. This place is great! Thank you

Wedding getaway false advertisement

If I was staying alone, it wouldn’t have been a problem. However I looked forward to a relaxing weekend with my friends for a wedding getaway trip and instead it was hectic. At check in, we got locked out because the host forgot to unlock the bottom door and she was unable to be reached when she was upstairs. I had to contact Vrbo customer service to get a hold of her. We waited 45 mins with our baggage’s outside the back patio. Then, not to mention, it was noisy and loud due to their child and dog who could be heard from upstairs throughout night and early mornings. the bathroom door doesn’t even close… how is that acceptable when staying with multiple guests. The drive way was huge rocks on the side with no precaution. Air circulation was poor. No control of the temp and was told to open windows. We had an unexpected charge for having an extra member when the listing says sleep up to 4 members, which minds you is a queen pull out couch bed and a king bed in the bedroom.

This unit shows as it has 2 bedrooms. It does not. It is 1 bedroom with an extremely uncomfortable bed, and a couch mattress that has blood/vomit stains on it. This unit did not smell clean, none of the linens smelled clean, there’s no small heater like they say. This host tried to say we smoked inside the unit when nobody did. We made sure to smoke outside in our vehicle due to it not being smoke friendly. This host was extremely inconsiderate of our stay. She had a party/get together with some of her friends on our first night. She had a baby and a dog or two (not sure) and didn’t even consider that people were downstairs trying to sleep after a 13 hour drive from Dallas. We paid to stay there, we should have had our space respected as well. The unit was supposed to be a quick and easy stay, and it was just extremely uncomfortable the entire time. They don’t even have blankets for their guests. Sara did not care that she had us staying downstairs, she continued to do life without hesitation. You shouldn’t be a host if you don’t know how to. Especially with it not being clean, that’s disgusting. It smelled like old rags.

Location location location!!! Walking to lots of restaurants and shopping so nice! Beautiful neighborhood. Basement apartment was totally fine. Everything you need. I did not catch the part that says the ceiling was low in places until after we arrived in Denver… which it was low in the entry area. The height in the apartment itself was fine. Great big bed and bedroom. Nice! We had a great time!

An ideal option for travelers looking to pay less than the boutique hotels one block to the South in an amazing neighborhood. One of the top destinations in Denver - Cherry Creek North! Very walkable, safe, tons of boutique shopping, movies, luxury shopping, top restaurants. I love living here.
My toddler and I live in the upper level - we will hear one another but I do my best to keep noise levels to a minimum! It’s one of the original homes in Cherry Creek - lower ceilings, smaller windows, etc. cozy bungalow style home. Perfect for travelers who don’t require ultra modern and more expensive accommodations. I keep the place well stocked and make myself available to my guests 24/7 during their stays!
