Thank you for your wonderful review of our home. I am a bit confused as to what needs fixing as we heard nothing from you on repairs and wish you would have said something to us instead of a review. We are happy to do any type of handyman work if we are informed. We will have to go around looking so our next incoming guests don't have any surprises. We are sorry that the neighbors were loud, unfortunately we can not control that at all unless the noise is after quiet hours . The hot tub service comes weekly and I apologize that we don't post their schedule, l will be sure to put that in the house information book, but unfortunately if they get backed up or employees call out, the service day changes. As far as the coffee pot, the manager was down the street and was told by maintenance that the pot was dropped off there, which was the wrong house, it was last minuite and she didn't think it was a big issue to pop in and grab the pot in the cabinet on the porch. She did apologize for stopping by un expected. The cactus you're referring to, does not have thorns, and has never caused an issue with past guests, we are sorry if it bothered you. But we will take a look and see what we can do . The house is concrete, and yes there are a few cracks here and there , but cosmetic and not structural, it is Nothing to hinder anyones stay at the house. I think there are only two by the ceiling in one bedroom, we did go thru a few named hurricanes , the last being Irma, which devistated the keys, and we all suffered damages, but the cracks you are referring to are not from water damage as they are where the ceiling meets the wall , again, this is the first complaint concerning a few insignificant cracks, but we will definitely look into what we can do to make them more cosmetically appealing. We recently had our boat lift removed and are in the process of re doing the dock from where the lift was removed, it's inspected every week and there is nothing un safe. The 2 king beds have brand new mattresses and box springs this year and again, we are sorry you found them to hard, we can not meet everyones comfort level in as far as how soft or firm they like their mattresses. As far as check out time, it was explained to you that it had been changed on all the web sites and most of the paper work and not a big deal if you checked out at 9:30, but you never contacted the manager before hand to ask about the discrepancy, she would of told you at that time that 9:30 was fine, as she did via text after you checked out and brought it to her attention. A simple text the day before would of solved that issue. We are sorry you feel we are all about the money, but that is so far from the truth. We have excellent reviews and strive to make our guests experience a great one. Hopefully you will find a vacation rental to suit your future needs, and we are sorry ours did not. Thank you Laura for Your Appreciation of our home and added amenities we provide to make your stay a great experience! Thank you as well for recognizing the dedication of our management and maintenance team to get issues addressed and resolved in a timely manner. We would like to note that we accommodated your request for an early check in as you were traveling to Orchid House from another Key and was highly concerned of what to do to entertain your 7 year old during the 6 hours in between. We also informed you prior to your stay that the boat lift on the dock was not available for your use due to liability issues. Only ONE board pulled loose during the night and as an experienced boater, such as yourself knows, you tie a boat to more than one cleat or pile on to secure it. So there was no issue of your boat leaving the dock. My maintenance man secured the dishwasher even after being told don’t worry about it, replaced the TORN grill cover( At least we had one, LOL!) and yes we do have a new hot tub cover on order(Thanks Covid for the speedy delivery!). Had we been informed of the “all night Latin rager” at the vacation rental next door, we would have been most happy to ask their guests to turn the music down or call the property manager. We also would have been happy to contact our internet provider to find out what the issue was had we been notified there was a problem. We sincerely value that you had a nice stay and would be honored to host your vacation again!!
